Zara hosted a star-studded New Year's Eve party at the Téras Bar & Lounge in San Myshuno. Roman flew in from Del Sol Valley - minus his girlfriend Devon (interesting...) and Olympia invited her childhood friends to the event and certain troublemaker that she’s interested in.
Tragedy happens every day but you don’t really expect it to impact your life until it does. My life had been ordinary with loving parents and an annoying younger brother. We were a typical suburban family with a nice house, big backyard and dog. But that all changed the year my brother died unexpectedly. He wasn’t sick, he didn’t waste away, he was just ... suddenly gone. No longer in our life and leaving a vast blank space where he’d once been.

Belle: Dira! Over here!
Belle: We’ve been waiting for you! What took you so long?
Indirah: Sorry for the wait, Aunt Bee. The traffic was quite bad.
Belle: It’s alright. You’re here now. Niamh, you remember Dira, right?
Niamh: Of course~ It’s nice to see you again.
Indirah: Same here.
Niamh: Oh, this is my nephew, Dom. Dom, this is Dira. You went to her brother’s wedding a few years ago with Saoirse and me, remember?
Indirah: Nice to see you here. I didn’t know you were related to Auntie Niamh.
Niamh: Oh? You know each other?
Indirah: I’ve met him several times. He lost his wallet the first time we met and he also got lost in our Campus.
Domhnall: *chuckles* That’s me. Sorry I didn’t recognize you sooner. You look different without all that tiara and stuff.
Indirah: *scoffs* Is that so? Do I really look that different?
Domhnall: Well, if I’m being honest, you look prettier without them.
Belle: Dira, dear, why don’t you take Dom to Ginny and Rainier over there? He arrived a few minutes before you and hasn’t greeted them yet. Maybe you both can greet our couple together?
Indirah: Yeah, sure.
Domhnall: What are you doing?
Niamh: Nothing~ Just go with her. You’ll thank us later.
Domhnall: Aunt—
Indirah: Dom? Are you coming?
Domhnall: Yeah, give me a sec!
Sofia: So Ginny told me that you guys are trying for a baby now. How’s it going?
Alfie: We’re still working on it.
Darien: Have you decided how many kids you want?
Alfie: We haven’t talked about it yet.
Sofia: Well, you should. Don’t go in blind. Being a parent is not like playing house.
Catalina: We’ll talk about it soon. I’m sure we’ll figure out how many we want.
Darien: You better stick to the plan or else you’re gonna end up like your Uncle Em here.
Emery: Hey! Don’t be mean. Belle and I planned to have a big family. We love the chaos.
Sofia: Mhm. Sure you do.
*Darien & Emery laughs in the background*
Catalina: Alfie?
Alfie: Hm?
Catalina: We never talked about how many kids we want.
Alfie: Mhm. I thought I’d let you decide that. You’re the one who’s gonna push them out.
Catalina: I know that. But what if I told you I only want one baby? What are you gonna do then?
Alfie: Then one child is what we’ll get.
Catalina: *clicks tongue* Alfie! Is this not important to you?
Alfie: Of course it’s important to me.
Catalina: Then why aren’t you telling me what you want? If this is important to you, we would’ve had this conversation before we got married.
Alfie: It just never crossed my mind.
Catalina: Oh, so you’re saying you never thought about having kids with me before?
Alfie: Don’t twist my words. Of course I’ve always thought about having kids with you. I just never gave it a serious thought.
Catalina: *huffs* Fine then. Since you say it like that, then I guess we’ll only have one.
Alfie: *sighs*
Alfie: Three kids, max.
Catalina: Just three?
Alfie: *snorts* What? You want more?
Catalina: *scoffs* Three is fine. Not too much. We both have three siblings too and our parents can handle that. It won’t be too hard.
Alfie: Eh~ We’ll see. If our kids take after me, they’re going to be a handful. I was a naughty kid, y’know.
Catalina: I know. Nothing I can’t handle. If I can handle their dad, I’m sure I can handle them too.
Reporter 2: The bridal party is also making its way to the church. They are departing from Pebblebrook House, the residence of the pride’s parents.
Reporter 1: Look at all those cute kids! These lovely bridesmaids and pageboys are being led into the church by Lady Iria’s sister, Lady Diana and the groom’s sister, HRH The Princess Royal Charlotte. The maid of honor is wearing a lovely cream-colored fitted dress, while HRH opted for a pink ankle length dress and a matching fascinator.
First is HRH Lady Alejandra, daughter of the dukes de Alba. Next, Miss Danielle Smith, daughter of longterm Head of Security Richard Smith, walking with HRH Lord Joaquin, son of the dukes de Alba. Closely behind Master Joe Bower, son of a friend of Lady Iria, walking next to Miss Sofia Ortiz, sister of one of the groom’s best friends. Lastly, we have Master Josiah Johnson, son of another of the groom’s friends.
Sofia: If Mother were here, she’d pound your ass into the ground.
Elissa: But she’s not.
Sofia: Mother would also have stopped my niece from marrying that low-life hoodlum.
Elissa: ‘That low-life hoodlum’ happens to be my son-in-law and the father of my grandchild.
Sofia: You should have done what Mother did. It worked, didn’t it?
Elissa: Oh yes, because forcing us into relationships worked out so well, didn’t it? You got a better stick than I did.
Sofia: Please. You get to live in this grand high palace with servants at your beck and call.
Elissa: Yes, because having staff members definitely makes my life so much better than yours. At least your husband respects you and treats you like a person.
Sofia: And? Yours is the King.
Elissa: Just because my husband is the King doesn’t mean that he’s perfect. You and I both know that he’s far from it. Did you see what he did to Ben? Our son?
Sofia: He should have done that to your nephew as well.
Elissa: Oh believe me, my sister-in-law tried. What if one of your daughters came out to you as being anything but straight?
Sofia: They wouldn’t.
Elissa: But what if they did? Would you still support them? Still love them?
Sofia: That is none of your concern. I would suggest that you remove those gray streaks from your hair, lest my beloved brother-in-law finds a new Queen to keep him company.
You can turn this world around and bring back all of those happy days
Put your troubles down, it's time to celebrate
Let love shine and we will find a way to come together and make things better
Over the next few months mom’s grief seemed to linger like a haze cast over the house. Not even the arrival of a new baby could pull her out of it — in fact it seemed to cast her deeper into her depression.
