Day 1 of Simarkus Week! The prompts were Deviation Day/Meeting, so I decided to combine both! I aim to combine both prompts every day~ Markus isn't a deviant yet, but he meets freshly deviated Simon and feels compelled to stop him during an errand run nonetheless. It amuses Markus years later that Simon became his partner in crime.

Also, per the festivities of Simarkus Week, I'm gong to recommend an artist and fic!

The artist of the day, @white-bow-tie , is wonderfully talented, captures the likeness of Simon and Markus with a great mixture of their own, unique style, and they're also just an awesome person to know. I definitely recommend following their content~

The fic of the day, Sense and Sensitivity by Archadian Skies, is also one I'd recommend! My friend and I referenced it a lot when we read it together, and we still adore the wholesome look it gave on Simon and his relationship with Markus (as well as the rest of the Jericrew) to this day.

Simarkus Week Day 4 - Family/Games

The Jericrew+ play hide and go seek, but none of them expect Simon and Markus to have evacuated and hidden all the snacks and shelving from the snack cupboard to hide there, so no one has found them. With how amusing they find the confusion of their family, their laughter is bound to give them away soon!

My artist rec for today is @bonesbunns ! They not only have uplifting and heartwarming Simarkus works, but they've also drawn endless amounts of amusing and heartfelt Reed900 works as well! Furthermore, they're diverse in fandoms AND have a ton of spectacular, original content, so you're bound to find a lot to enjoy in their creations~ (I'm personally really digging their IT and OG content a whole lot lately!)

My fic rec for the day is "The Deviant Wears Prada" by Archadian_Skies! It's not a Simarkus fic, no, but it's a Manfred fic, and it's so precious; please, please read it! It's under 4k words, and it's so wholesome and silly and great at illustrating the Carl and Markus dynamic pre-deviation... If you like Hank, he plays a fun role in there, too! And who doesn't like Hank? Treat yourself and enjoy a warm, friendly fic!

Simarkus Week Day 2 - Music/Travel

Road trips are the best time for listening to music, but it's even better when it's 2039 and automatic cars display the lyrics on your windows for you to sing along with! I probably got a little too ambitious with the color palette in this one, but I'm happy to have found a way to wedge Raleigh Ritchie music into my art since it's my absolute favorite~ (The song used is Unicron Loev by Raleigh Ritchie.)

My artist rec for today is @rngrn who I feel so lucky to share both Simarkus and Reddie fandoms with because they make some of the funnest, unique content for each. Their timing and layouts in their comics and their AUs are just top notch, and if you're new to the DBH fandom, I definitely suggest you check out their archive of fan art for it.

My fic rec for the day is "blackbird braille" by 3311! I have yet to finish it, but it's a peculiar story so far that has really sincere insight on the relationships of the Jericho as well as a strange mystery unfolding as I read. It's a human, highschool AU, and it's interesting to see their pasts set up in this timeline as the story is executed. I've never found a Simarkus fic that makes me feel as curious as this one, so I recommend you check it out!
