There's Something About Her | Ariel & Simba
"Who are you and- What are you doing with our forks?"
The girl quickly jumped off her tip-toes and closed the cutlery drawer in front of her with a loud slam. "I-I'm Ariel..." The tiny princess shuffled her jelly shoes on the smooth flooring nervously, her arms crossed over her chest, trying to disguise the silverware she was cuddling from the blonde haired boy stood in front of her, glaring at her with pure confusion.
"So why the forks..." The boy trailed off a bit, looking the child up and down, he could tell she wasn't used to being dressed in such fancy attire, the bow in her hair had lopsided and drooped from it's upright position, as well as the bottom of her pink skirt was far too big and was beginning to tear and gain dirt from where it dragged on the ground. Simba hadn't seen any other girl like this around Disney before and certainly none of the other gooey eyed girls in the dining hall area. Although he was very young, he still needed a break from all of the up-tire family dos his family would hold due to their status and ones with a load of girls were the type Simba absolutely despised, all they'd ever do is compliment him in weird ways and act far more grown up than they should.
Ariel darted her eyes around the kitchen, trying to find a quick escape route. The boy let out a small chuckle and one of the silver-plated forks fell from Ariel's grip and made a load clunking noise on the varnished floor. "Nooooooooo! My dinglehopper!!" Ariel wailed and stomped her little feet around, Simba took a step closer to her and attempted to calm the small redhead down. "Shh, okay- you don't wanna get caught, do you? You gotta be sneaky, Ari. My dad would kill you if he saw you ... Stealing our uh- Dinglehoppers?" Simba paused for a bit, giving Ariel the same strange look as he did earlier, before he continued. "-And he's king, and one day I'm gonna be king. You gotta be sneaky!" Ariel looked at Simba blankly with her wide, blue eyes before nodding her head after a brief moment. "Ok! Gotta be sneeeeaky!" Ariel repeated, her voice became much more giggly as she grinned towards her new friend.
"Yeah, but fiiiirst-" Simba reached over to Ariel and took an armful of forks from her grip. "You only get to keep one."
