The Engagement Party
Long post warning. It was a long night for them...
Nayeli Stevens made a surprise visit to the Dukes just as they were about to leave. She dropped off a gown and some jewels "that were just sitting in a vault since Walker's grandmother passed away." Her future mother-in-law's approval is important to Acadia. So although her own mother told her she looked perfect already, she agreed to change immediately.
While most of the staff was off for the Winterfest holidays, Walker was putting together the new management team and making adjustments to the organizational structure. Business management roles are still restricted to family. But this is the first generation with a female sim assigned to upper management.
Clifford Williams [Good, Romantic, Foodie] Walker's cousin and best friend. He was his best man at the wedding. They went to Foxbury together and were in the same fraternity. They also have matching tattoos (with childhood friend, Jun Yamaguchi, as well). Like Walker, when it comes to his personal life, Cliff tries to stay away from the family politics as much as possible. But when it comes to business, where Walker goes, he goes. The investment branch brings more simoleons and less stress but if Walker wants to push for that Business Tycoon status, Cliff will not let him do it alone. He switched streams after Arnold's death with Walker.
Patricia Lund [Mean, Materialistic, Hates children] The cousin from Windenburg that probably would have been better at business than Walker if she got the same type of attention as he did growing up. Female sims were not allowed in the management stream. She was supposed to get married to a Straud... but she took one look at Forgotten Hollow, went to San Myshuno and demanded that Arnold Lund give her a position in Windenburg. He started her off as a level 2 office assistant and she quickly proved herself and made it to level 5 regional manager. She was blocked from any further promotion because she "could not be better" than her brother, Nolan, who was barely getting by as a level 6 senior manager.
Walker and Patricia always clash in their personal life. And she is not a fan of Acadia... But Walker knows a powerhouse when he sees one and the Bielke-Lund group needs a President like Patricia.
