Ok so Wendell is hands down the most musically inclined. He's no pro, but he loooooves to sing and dance and he's even low key an actor -- not a STELLAR one but he's good at personas and improv as a TV fella.

In the Sing AU he's a reporter who sniffs out a ton of Buster's drama and is there On The Scene with record time to see What Went Wrong, but the more they interact the more Buster goes "hey this guy's a little distractible. Here's a silly distraction! Wait He's Not Terrible, Maybe I Can Work With That---"

Ethan isn't much of a performer but Wendell is teaching her to dance! Her voice is too little to sing/project much but sometimes she mumbles along. She's pretty adaptable and can boogie to anything

Sing AU she sticks around the theatre troupe for Detective Work and ends up accidentally getting roped into a couple musical numbers for fun. The cast is encouraging somebody on a down day so they play a funky song and while she's walking past Gunter grabs her sleeve and pulls her into a flash mob and she just rolls with it kinda thing :^)

Simon... probably prefers quieter things/instrumentals. He has nothing against any particular music but he definitely would rather be able to Hear What's Going On Around Him for. reasons

Ethan is a border collie, good for sniffing out those clues (+ the pattern + ears look like her). I gave her the Suki Lane treatment of "dog head on human body" bc its funny to me

Paradise (in both Simon and Ethan) is just like. squids or octopi or something instead of plants idk. No we are not going to analyze the implications of the squidpocalypse in the sing universe (ngl i was fully gonna take it out then a dumb joke came to mind so i kept it)

Finnegan is just a walrus and not a dead guy anymore lol

Billie is a black and white tufted lemur, I was considering making Ethan one of those first but decided dog was better... Wendell still can't tell

Baasil is a pig! Bc in human canon he's a furry and his fursona is a pig lol

Aaaaaand Gumball is a black footed ferret. (My roommate pointed out that they're the only wild, non-domesticated ferrets left. Just like how Gumball is the only wild, non-domesticated magician )
