Assisting Children in Need Charity Event Thurs. Nov. 6th 6-8:30pm

Hi Everyone,

It’s Simon Tham here to let you know about the 4th annual Assisting Children in Need fundraiser this Thursday, November 6th. In past years I have traveled to Tanzania and Uganda to assist with projects for this wonderful organization and I’m excited to be in New York for Thursday’s event. It would be great to see you there and please invite any family or friends that would be interested!

This years event will raise funds to support the inspiring children I met in the slums of Kampala, Uganda as well as an educational project in Myanmar. The children in the Kampala live in impoverished conditions and many have lost one or both their parents to various causes. Help us to give them a nourishing meal each day and the opportunity to go to elementary and secondary school to break the circle of poverty.

The ticket price includes and open beer and wine bar and there will be a photo set as always. The grand prizes for the raffle are a week’s stay in Tuscany, two hotels in Turkey, and a two day safari in Uganda! See below for the key event details:

PROJECTS GOALS UGANDA Annual Food Costs: $162 per child Annual School Fees: $120 per child Annual Food Costs + School Fees = $282 per child $282 x 60 children = $16,920

MYANMAR First Year: $8,600 Food for Children + Teachers: $2,000 School Materials + Office Supplies: $1,000 Staff Salary: $2,600 Playground + Toys: $3,000

Annual Cost After First Year: $5,600 Food for Children + Teachers: $2,000 School Materials + Office Supplies: $1,000 Staff Salary: $2,600
