The Emrie James Museum at St. Andrew High School (SAHS) celebrated International Museum Day (IMD) on Friday, May 17th. Apple iPad Donors: The French family - Mrs. Joan (Rainford) French, Monique French and Dr. Simone French (2-generations of SAHS women). This gift makes us the only museum in Jamaica to have an iPad check-in platform. Marquee Performer: iCandy, an international recording artiste and SAHS alumna. Special Guest: Stanford Cocking, art collector. Museum Partners: iPrint Digital Jamaica and Susie's Bakery. Click comment/share if you believe in "Museums (Memory + Creativity) = Social Change" too.
A Special Moment: A Mother & her Daughters
Ruth Stafford interviewed sister duo, Dr. Simone French and Monique French, about their life at St. Andrew High School for Girls in Jamaica. See below. What occured in the finale was a special moment between a mother and her daughters. Check it out.
The Finale: Simone and Monique interview their mother, Joan
Simone is 'toying' with the idea of pushing the envelope at SAHS for her son, Jordan. Just what that might be? "I believe Jordan could very well be the first young man to formally attend St. Andrew High's Sixth Form class" :-). With today's news about Kingston College Old Boys agreeing to admit women at events could Simone successfully lead a resolution for her son to create history at St. Andrew High for Girls and join the ranks of St. George's College with a co-ed Sixth Form?
