30 Bands in 30 Days Duran Duran (prepare for this one to be semi long. I picked 30 bands and randomized the list - I was hoping they would come later so I could figure out more proper answers...)
Day: 5 (October 24) Favorite song(s): Michael You've Got a Lot to Answer For, Who Do You Think You Are, My Antarctica, Mediterranea, A Matter of Feeling, Vertigo (Do the Demolition), Sound of Thunder, Tel Aviv, Know it All, Point of No Return, Finest Hour, Chains, Midnight Sun, Hallucinating Elvis, Playing With Uranium, Someone Else Not Me, Salt In the Rainbow, What Are the Chances, Ordinary World, Sin of the City, Last Chance On the Stairway, New Moon on Monday, Falling Angel, Cinderella Ride, Only in Dreams, Falling Down, Shelter, Rio, Beautiful Colours, Sunset Garage Favorite album(s): The Wedding Album, Notorious, Medazzaland, Pop Trash, Astronaut, Red Carpet Massacre, Big Thing Favorite lyrics: "There's nothing I can say There's nothing left to do It's just that lately I feel so damn lonely When I think of you And it may seem selfish now But I'll hold on to the memory Until all this fear is washed away" - "Do You Believe in Shame" Favorite member: Roger Taylor When did you become a fan: Spring Break 2008. I was 13 and found their Greatest album in my parents' room, listened to it and realized how many of the songs on it I actually knew. I drifted away from all the Disney music I liked such as the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana because of Duran Duran. First song you heard: Most likely either "Hungry Like the Wolf" or "Rio". "Ordinary World" made me an instant fan. Favorite video: Electric Barbarella Seen them live: Oh yes. April 2nd this year in Tampa! A concert I had been waiting a long long time for. One of the best nights ever especially 'cause I got to share it with my mom. Memory involving the band: My grandmother passed away in August of 2010 and on the day she died, I went into my room immediately after finding out. I sat down in front of my radio and turned it on, just to get my mind off things as I was pretty sad. The moment I turned it on, it was on my favorite radio station. "Ordinary World" was playing the exact second I turned it on, on a station that didn't play a whole lot of Duran Duran. Ever since, I've gotten goose bumps every single time I listen to the full version of that song - Warren's guitar solo is amazing.
