Big crowds?– not her thing. Missions? Important missions?? – she was new to. Working with supervillains?? – That's, where Cusp would have drawn the line, had it not been for two civilian lives at stake. She had dodged the rally altogether, knowing her safety was the most important, and still having her obligations to help the hero family at HQ. she’d never fully been on a mission of such caliber before rescuing Whist. she’d had doubts within herself throughout the entire time, and it brought her great pride within herself, her cause, and her newly built confidence, but it was hard to hold her head up high working next to the supervillain, Gwisin.
she’d never heard of him before, and she couldn’t tell if that were a good thing or bad thing. she had no knowledge of any of his dealings, any past crimes, or his intent upon meeting, but Silver Knight instructed that none of that was relevant to the current mission. the amount of faith to be put in their leader was a tall glass to order at any milkshake shop.
introductions were not at all lengthy, he seemed like he was definitely a cut and dry fellow, short, not so sweet, and to the damn point, which wasn’t a surprising attitude at all to have while on such an important mission. though, a reassurance that he wouldn’t turn on her would have been a nice sentiment. any sort of manners would have been a nice sentiment, as, listen, buddy pal, she wasn’t grand with working with the enemies either.
something still rubbed her the wrong way about the man– mostly knowing that he supported the syndicate and was a loyal member. her heart pounding with her back against the cold slate wall she thought it best to try and defend her lack of movement. “They seem to have switched up patrol rounds. Last time they worked in pairs every so often, though I’m sure with the new captives–”
But she was cut off by his impatient demeanor. “Okay, well… sure it’s obvious there’s no one down this hallway. I guess, it’s clear to roam...” she should have known it’d be slightly difficult to assert her lead down to the rooms. “You should still, be careful” the whispers in her voice bounced lightly against the walls.
