Who suggests sneaking out past curfew hours? mai and simon both tend to do this, making sure they bring the other with them ;; whether it be to read, just to sit on the roof, etc.
Who gets excited about being nominated for the royal court at dances? neither of them get excited. they just want 2 sleep for nine years, tbh.
Who gets accused of being the Creeper and who punches the accusers in the face? simon does, but mai doesn’t let that fly. she might not go AFTER them physically ;; but she’ll make sure that their life is ruined after she’s done with them.
Who panics and runs to check on the other the second Shit Goes Down? both, you already know they’re sprinting to each other when they hear shit goes down.
Who talks the other into parenting a dorm pet together? simon ;; mai’s convinced they’d be the worst parents ever.
Who writes about the other for their poetry assignment in English class? simon ;; mostly because mai tends to be super protective of her writing and her english tends to be especially broken in writing because she’s never been good at expressing her feelings.
Who goes all out for the school event festivities and who gets dragged along? mai. spirit week???? simon doesn’t want to participate???? LMFAO WDYM HE’S IN THE FRONT ROW IN THE PEP RALLY. MAI’S CHEERING LOUD ENOUGH FOR THE BOTH OF THEM while he contemplates the many ways to murder her.
Who does all of the work on their group projects? they switch, whenever ONE is too tired to do a project, they’ll handle the project so the other doesn’t have to.

Who goes to the other’s house for the holidays? they don’t go to houses on the holidays. it’s usually spent at plath ;; sometimes together. sometimes not.
Who’s willing to sleep with a teacher to bring up the other’s grades? neither, but ... they aren’t past doing other things for getting good grades.
Who is more scared for the other’s safety? mai, she’s always paranoid that one day she’ll hurt him, or the creeper will, or someone will and she won’t be able to help !!

Who initiates the drunken heart-to-hearts? BOTH can, but it’s usually mai as she doesn’t know how else to handle her feelings.

MAI actually wants to investigate ;; she’s tired of being left in the dark intentionally or not. she tends to be more reckless nowadays, and simon is always trailing behind her with the flashlight bein like “mai pls”
