I need women to start comparing their standard for low effort/high effort regarding appearance to what the average straight white man does. If it takes more than double the amount of time/effort a man puts into his appearance, it is high maintenance. And if you want to do that that's fine! But don't kid yourself and say it's easy. It isn't easy. Patriarchal society just expects women to do more work, especially when it comes to how they look
