Our brains have different levels of brainwave states and our creativity emerges in the alpha or theta brain state. These states require relaxation and lower stress levels (which is why more ideas come to you on a walk, in the shower, or upon waking). If our minds are constantly in doing mode, it’s hard to tap into our creative minds.

What does that purchase mean to you? If the purchase will lift up your soul with happiness or nourish your body with goodness, you will have a positive feeling when you ask yourself the question. Instead, if the purchase is simply out of habit or is something you’re trying to quit buying, notice that, too.
