It’s time for a rapid-fire catch-up.
Fall struck hard and it went from highs in the 80s to highs in the 60s real quick. I’m loving it for now but it won’t be long before I’m shivering and cursing the cold.
The Whole30 didn’t last long... on day 8 I caved and it was all over. I struggled more with appetite loss this round than I have before and couldn’t even choke down eggs. It was hard to fuel my days, especially trying to work out, so I quit. I have mixed feelings about it, but it is what it is.
I want to start tracking my macros but it’s so hard! Especially with home-cooked meals where you have to input the recipe and try and gage upfront how many servings that’ll be... like I can’t tell if I’ll get 6 or 10 servings out of this soup recipe and it’s not like they’ll all be the same size. Ugh. I’m just grumpy about it because it takes effort. But I think it’ll be a good way to be more flexible than w30 but still keep track of my eating.
I’ve been doing PIIT28 - Pilates Intense Interval Training. it’s like HIIT but incorporating pilates moves, and it is kicking my butt. Every day I have to modify at least 1 move and I always have to take breaks. But I’m proud of myself for working out every day (today is day 10, and it’s workouts 6 days a week so there’s been 1 rest day).
Work motivation comes and goes. Lately work has been good but the motivation to do more than just the minimum to get through each day has been loooooow. Gotta step it up.
But I’m still enjoying blogging and just put up a new post chock full of inspiration for homesteading, tiny house design/build, and minimalism. Check it here.
As November approaches I’m getting more and more sad that I’m not doing NaNoWriMo this year (I haven’t actually done it in years but I always miss it). I have other projects I want to work on - blog content, starting composting, starting an indoor container garden, maybe working on an ebook to supplement the blog - so it isn’t a good idea to try to write a novel right now, but every November I want to.
Aaaaaand this got longer than I intended. Whoops!
