spotting ali in the laundry room, katrina grinned and wrapped her arms around her wife’s waist from behind, “hey, baby.” she murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to her shoulder, “god, i am so glad to be home.” pretending like she still had a job was easier than she had anticipated, but that didn’t stop the ugly feeling of guilt in the bottom of her stomach. for now, though, she decided to ignore that and focus on being home with her family, “all i wanted to do during those stupid fucking meetings was come home and do this.”
