          Something catches in his chest, and Jason isn’t sure whether it’s the choice itself— or the idea that it could indeed ( one day ) become a reality he’d have to face. But it isn’t uncertainty which halts an otherwise immediate response; his answer is clear, known exactly from the instant the choice was given.

          He doesn’t have to think about it.

          But that doesn’t make it any easier to face, nor any easier to say.

          “——Me. They’ve got a chance, the both of ‘em. A future worth a hell of a lot more than mine. …Would be a shame to take it from ‘em now.”

          But I don’t want to leave them either.

simplicitydoubter has found himself in the desert

What an odd spectacle. His green and red outfit made the human stick out like a sore thumb on the desert. Cadmus liked it. Any desert dweller like himself had an appreciation for bright colors, and were attracted to them. So, like a moth to a lamp, he hovered over to the human with great interest. 

He circled around the human once, and lifted his cape to see the underside. It was yellow! Fantastic! Cadmus almost wanted to keep him as a pet.

"Eh he hehe, What's your name and where you from?" There was a big stupid smile on Cadmus's face, and the mouth on his chest was showing its teeth in its own attempt to smile.
