First day of Sixth Form : completed ✔️
I really enjoyed today: getting my timetable, first lessons, the freedom of the common room. All my teachers are fab and I can’t wait for the two years ahead!
I hope that everyone has had (or will have) a great first day of school/college.
Also who’s mega excited for autumn?

Wreck This Journal: scratch using a sharp object
Man, oh man, was this fun. So, so satisfying.
I didn't know what I was going to use for this, but then I found my old compass (since I no longer do maths) and it turned out to be perfect!
Also, the book my French teacher gave me to read over the summer. I didn't have to, but I wanted to improve my understanding as much as possible. I'm just reading a bit each day, and I'm really loving it! I believe that it is the book that we are actually going to study at a-level.

About Me
Hi everyone! So I started this account on the 2nd February 2017, not really knowing anything about the community, but joining because a friend recommended it. I had no idea what I was doing, and therefore I never really introduced myself properly. While changing my theme and organising my navigation, I realised this. So here it is I guess!
Basic Info
Name: Jamilla, or Jam, or whatever; I have loads of nicknames
Age: 16
Country: United Kingdom; I live on the south coast of England, it’s gorgeous
Year: I will be starting Lower Sixth (first year of Sixth Form) in September 2017
Subjects: At A-level I am taking History, French, Latin and English Literature. I am also taking Greek GCSE as an extra, and plan to do an EPQ
Languages: Fluent in English, getting there with French; competent in Spanish and German; am planning to learn Polish and Italian
Interests
~Books!!!
~Music: I love a bit of everything, with some of my favourite artists including James Blunt, Bastille, McFly, Scouting for Girls, Tears for Fears, Train, ABBA and Handel, amongst many others
~I also play the piano and the violin
~Movies and movie-making
~Writing; whether it be stories, poems or book reviews
~History! I could talk about it all day
~Also Languages are awesome
~Travel
~Art; Vincent van Gogh will always be a fave
~I’m kinda teaching myself to paint (also calligraphy…)
~Tennis, running, going to the gym, boxing/kickboxing
~I really love admiring the sky and am obsessed with taking pictures of it
~Giving/making people little gifts and cards
~Bullet Journalling! I’ve never done it before but I’m starting to plan one for 2018
The Future
~Nothing is set in stone for the future but I have a rough idea of what I want to do
~I would love to attend Oxbridge or Exeter University
~My intended field of study is History, Politics, International Relations, French, or possibly Classics, and is likely to be a combination of two of those
~Something to do with History or Languages would be an ideal career, though I can also see myself going into writing - we’ll see what happens
This will probably be updated every once in a while, so if anything changes, that’s why!
Sidenote: Hopefully I will have a studygram up and running at some point, so bear with me on that!

So after saying that I probably wouldn’t be posting something original on here until my results day, I found an empty Wreck This Journal. I decided that as a summer activity, I would try and complete one.
I then thought that it could be something to post on my studyblr, since there wouldn’t really be anything original on here for a couple of months.
I know it’s not very ‘studyblr’ related, but I thought that some people might like to see me completing it.
I’m not necessarily going to complete the book in a specific order either, I’m just going to see what happens.
I’ll tag all the pictures 'simplistic wreck this journal'.
I’m really excited about this! I’ve never managed to complete one of these, so I can’t wait to start!
See you tomorrow for the first post! xo

Currently in adoration of my beautiful new notebook; I can't wait to post some pages from this! I also bought a peanuts (as in snoopy and co) pencil case, which is totally adorable.
I'm going to do some Wreck This Journal this afternoon, and queue some posts for the tag. You can check out the progress here.
