Since we’ve recently found out the sun is actually green...
If the sunlight was actually green tinted, how do you think the makeup industry would cope?
hard hitting question!
I suppose I would say that makeup would need to offset any of the tinting by color correcting. So I think purple is like the opposite color that corrects for green? so we would see more purple tinted makeup
however, i am not a scientist, but this did make me wonder if this would affect people's actual color of skin besides just like illusions of green color. would this change the color of melanin?
i mean sunlight right now basically has no color so i guess the current shades of skin that exist are just like the. blank non-colored versions of human skin. maybe we would all turn into elphabas. but OH THIS WOULD BE SO PRETTY ACTUALLY some people would have like light sage or mint colored skin, and then you'd have forest green and those deep kind of inky greens oooh
another thing to consider is that if people did wear color correcting makeup that worked well outside, would you go inside and then since you're not in sunlight anymore you would just look purple?
conclusion: i do not understand biology enough to properly answer this but i do have speculations
