My Senior Year Bucketlist
They say senior year goes by in the blink of an eye. Over the summer I made a list of 18 things that I want to do.
Decide on a college.*
Write a letter to self and open on graduation day.
Take a picture everyday.*
Go to homecoming.*
Go to prom.
Get senior pictures taken.
Senior ditch day.
Vacation.*
Go to a play or musical.*
Senior prank.
Take a video walking to class.
Make a playlist of your most played songs.
Make a time capsule and journal.
Attend a sporting event, but not football.*
High School Musical marathon.
Participate in spirit week.*
Decorate my cap.
Graduate.

Introducing Me: Take 2
Hello! So the start of senior year wasnāt as smooth as I had anticipated it to be. However, the first few weeks of second semester and the new year have treated me well. Yes, I feel bad for neglecting this studyblr for so long and it seems like each time I come back with another excuse. However, I needed a break from all forms of social media to focus and gather my thoughts. I finally feel like the separate parts and pieces of my life are falling together. In the past month I have decided where I will be attending college, found my roommate (who happens to be an old friend), vacationed in Hawaii, discovered a great group of friends, got myself a fantastic boyfriend, and took my last finals of high school. I have always loved New Years and thought of it as a new beginning and a fresh start. I have a new schedule this semester, which is somewhat easier than the one I had last semester, so I finally feel as if my life is in a good place for me to relax a bit. I can, and will be, officially start this blog and I could not be more excited! I am ready. The wait will be worth it.
An update on my last post, since some things have changed:
I am no longer scared of college. In fact, I am ready. The school I chose is close to home and the school that I have known I wanted to attend since sixth grade. At the beginning of this year, I thought I wanted to go down South. However, in the back of my head, I always knew this school was the one. I am still majoring in journalism and concentrating in sports media. I will be following the broadcasting path and hope to become a sideline reporter or news anchor.
This semester I am only taking six classes, as opposed to seven, since I have a study hall. I am in AP Statistics, AP Psychology, Spanish for the entire year. Last semester, I took Historical and Cultural Impact of Sports on American Society, American Diversity, Current Issues and English. This semester I am taking Sociology, Recent Reads, Foods and Nutrition, and a study hall.
I also got a new phone! I upgraded from an iPhone 6S to an iPhone 8 Plus.
Thatās all for now, but I will be back... for sure this time. 2018 is going to be a big year, full of change, but itās going to be great.
As always, please message me with any questions, comments, etc. I canāt wait to get started!

Introducing Me!
Hello again! Since Iām committing myself to my studyblr this school year, I thought Iād start off with an introduction so all of you can get to know me a little better!
Letās start with the basics - I am a seventeen year old girl from the United States and about to start my senior year of high school! I live in the suburbs of a big city, and have lived in the same house for my entire life. I think thatās why the thought of starting senior year going off to college is so scary for me - I hate change. Iāll be away from the same house, the same people who Iāve spent the past seventeen years with, and everything that is familiar.Ā
Speaking of college, ironically, all of the schools I am interested in are far away from home. I would love to go down to the South for school! I go to a big high school, so a large, Division I university is where I see myself. I will be studying journalism, specifically television broadcasting, with a concentration in sports media, in hopes of becoming a sideline reporter or news anchor.
I donāt have my schedule for this year, but last year I took AP Language and Composition, Honors Biology, Honors Math, History and Spanish. This year the majority of my classes are English and History based. I will be taking AP Statistics and AP Psychology for sure!
I am currently using my Apple MacBook Air to write this post. I got it as a gift after I graduated eighth grade, and it still works like it is brand new! I also have an Apple iPhone 6S that I got a few weeks after it came out in 2015. Itās actually almost time for a new one, but I love this phone!
Iām somewhere between a social butterfly and a wallflower. At school, Iām always smiling, laughing, and am considered the funny one in my friend group. Yet, Iām the girl everyone comes to for advice. Iām super bubbly and giggly in the halls, but put me in a room with complete strangers, and Iāll be the girl in the corner on her phone, pretending to be doing something really important on it.
I am a SUPER sentimental person. I have tons of pictures on my phone, I love to document the little moments with pictures and videos, and I keep a lot of things that I probably shouldnāt.
I LOVE inspirational quotes! I really enjoy writing them out and posting them somewhere in my room, so I can see it often.Ā
Yellow is my favorite color. It is the color of my room, and it is a color that promotes happiness and positivity. I also have a weird obsession with the sun and sunshine. Two of my favorite quotes mention the sun, yellow is the color which represents the sun and stars, I have a Pinterest board dedicated to sayings about sunshine which is where I get the majority of my Instagram captions. and summer is my favorite month! Ironic since in astrology I am a moon sign!
I am a bit of a makeup addict. I own so much makeup that I have no clue what to do with it anymore! However, my bathroom is super organized! My friends are always asking me to do their makeup. Also, I have just about every major eyeshadow palette there is, so if you need makeup advice, feel free to send me a message!
I am also addicted to Starbucks. Iām always there. Itās crazy. The baristas know me, my order, what time I usually come, my age, what kind of car I drive, and about what I want to do in the future!
Another addiction - Netflix. I have seen nearly every one of the popular shows. Friends, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Parks and Rec, Gossip Girl, Rules of Engagement, Greyās Anatomy, Law and Order: SVU, CSI: Miami... the list goes on!
I know every word to just about every song written from 2008-2017. Plus, a lot of throwbacks from the 80s and 90s.
Ranking of Major Holidays: Fourth of July, Christmas, New Years, Valentineās Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Saint Patrickās Day
And last, but not least, what I touched on in my last post, I was a dancer. Itās so weird to say was, since I had been dancing since the age of 4 and I was on my high schoolās team freshman, sophomore and junior year (We won the conference championship all three of those years btw). However, now I only dance when thereās an open studio at the gym, in my basement, in the rain, and when nobody is watching. I also did gymnastics for six years, and soccer for one.
Annnndd, that about sums it up! If you have any questions, common interests, or there is something else you want to know about me, feel free to send me a message :ā)

Happy August!!
It's been a while! I hope all of you are well! It's August 1 and school is right around the corner, which means the beginning of my studyblr is even closer! I've decided to start this blog with my senior year since things are going to be different. First of all, due to some unfortunate & unforeseen circumstances, I am no longer involved in high school athletics. While I'm going to miss it so much, now I can focus on my courses and updating this blog! I will be sharing my notes, planner, mini bullet journal for this school year. I was also thinking about doing some mini series and advice columns, so let me know your thoughts on that and any topics you would like to see covered! I will be sharing an "About Me" post soon. I know I want to do a post on staying motivated during the school year, as well as mental health and it's importance. I'm also a huge fan of inspirational quotes, which I will be sharing! Check out my other blog @foreversunshines for more of those! August 1 is also the day that many college applications open, so that's what I've been doing today! I will be sharing my journey through the college application process, some tips, and update you all until I make my decision on what school I will be attending next year! Please, please, please feel free to send messages, reach out, and chat with me! I would absolutely love to get to know and learn from more people who share interest in this special studyblr community! xoxo simplystudies
Itās been a while!
It really is true - your junior year of high school is crazy! I was absolutely swamped last school year, from AP classes to sports practices, competitions, and tryouts. This next year, I will have lots more free time, and more interesting classes! I am takingĀ āfunā courses on more interesting topics, so stay tuned for updates on that. This summer I will be focusing on college applications, as well as some online courses, and catching up on reading some books now that the school year is over. Of course, I have to make some free time to binge watch CSI: Miami. Side Note: If any of yāall are in the same boat for getting ready for college as well, Iād love to chat! My messages are always open :)Ā
Life Update
As you can tell, I haven't been on this blog in a while! This is because after school ended I didn't have any notes and other school stuff to post. Once school starts again I will be more active! As for now, I recently picked up a new 18 month planner (July 2016-December 2017) that I can post pictures of. I am expanding my history knowledge and watching lots of Crash Course videos so I can share some of my notes. Thank you for your support!!
Taking Requests!
My inbox is always open to feedback, questions, comments, suggestions, etc. I really want to make this blog great! Please message me with any ideas for posts! Spread the word!! I was thinking of doing the 100 Days of Productivity, but I donāt have many days of school left. Iām open to any other tags, specific reviews, or even suggestions on ways to improve my blog and/or tips of starting out! Thank you so much!
