Vivian has been given the command to get married, but she has to finish up the queued conversation with her sister first. Meanwhile, the groom and preacher must stand there and wait while the two ladies gab. They don’t look too happy about it.

Text messages don’t exist in this timeframe (1930s-60s), so this is a telegram that came in to the groom in the middle of his wedding. It’s from a dancer he met at the Gentleman’s Club during his bachelor party. Reply telegram reads:

I can’t spend time with you STOP we only met that once STOP this is highly inappropriate STOP I’m a married man STOP please stop STOP
