Plants Converted From The Sims Console and The Sims Bustin' Out for The Sims 2, Sims 3 and The Sims 4

Hello, hello! I was going through my WIP folder and found that these were pretty far along when they got set aside last year. My vision for these changed since then, so a LOT of work was done to bring this fully to life! There's a few paths you could go with plants and it was hard to decide, but I went with making them decorative. A possible future plan is to create an alternative version that utilizes their wilted/dead states, requiring them to need watering. The textures and UV maps were completely overhauled to make the pots compatible with each other (pot textures are now 64x128 each), so they're no longer limited to just one pot recolor like they are in the console game. I have also included two Sims 1 PC inspired recolors by me of the Rubber Tree Plant and Queen Vivanco Roses. This means each plant has 12 pot recolors (11 for the African Violet and Echinopsis Maximus Cactus because the redwood pot from the Jade Plant looked ugly on them) In this case, I put together a cherrywood stand to go along with the Rubber Tree Plant, also inspired by its Sims PC counterpart. This a rerelease of the Queen Vivanco Roses that was included in my 20th anniversary post, because of how the textures and UVs were altered here. The old version of the roses isn't compatible with these recolors and I recommend deleting it. The Rubber Tree Plant from the console version looks just like the Potted Rubber Houseplant in the GBA version of Bustin' Out and Urbz, so I'm considering that checked off with this conversion as well. The Sims 2: Very Important Note!! All pot textures are merged and renamed within their respective files. All files are depending on each other for the rest of their recolors. If standalone packages are requested, then I could work on one, but for now all plant packages rely on each other to save resources. I don't know how (or know if it's possible) to repo textures for The Sims 3 and The Sims 4, so this doesn't apply here. Let me know if you have any issues! Object info is below the cut. So here's my first ever Sims mod, a collection of decorations from The Sims console with it's Bustin' Out variants!

I wanted to do this for years now as there was interest in having console stuff converted, but nobody seemed to convert the smaller and decorative stuff. This IS my first time doing conversions that I made in Blender and Milkshape, so expect a few slip-ups but I think I did very well. I'm also doing this very sparingly so don't expect much more.

The Portrait Grid was the hardest to convert because I wanted to select between two images (since they're the same item in both games, mesh and all). I originally converted the one from BO, figuring out how to cut out the frame and all, but I realised the UV mappings were a mess. So I converted the one from TS1C instead, ported the textures and all due to being mostly 1:1 and voila! I had to fix some slight UV mapping issues (that were in the TS1C texture, funnily enough), but nothing too big.

Most of the textures are from Sims 1 Console than Bustin' Out, due to being in better quality and they all use Xbox resources. The frame graphics had also changed between the two games, reusing the same "back frame" textures for most of them so I had to do recreations to make them fit nicely.

As an add-on I made many different swatches in frames since they shared many of the same textures. Much of the meshes were the same, except for the Still Life, Drapery and Crumbs painting, which I made the Bustin' Out one as an add-on. Bi-Polar and Watercolor by JME have slight mesh differences but I didn't want to make addons are they're very minor alterations.

Some of the paintings were already in another Sims 1 recreation but I still converted them anyway due to being in different sizes, and so that there would be more options.

Smoke Break

Few days ago I finished this drawing, I originally was going to give it a detailed background, but then I got impatient after doing the line art and just wanted to finish the drawing lol.

Still I am happy with this drawing as it was fun to draw Skid and Scary again, as well as to draw Crispin for the first time :-D. Since their respective districts all get along I like to think of these three as being friends (With Scary being the reason Crispin and Skid are friends). Also yes they are all smoking cigarettes, obviously I know those are bad for you but in my mind it makes sense for rebellious teens/young adults to be smoking in 2004, I mean if PG13+ drugs can exist in the sims world during this time than I'm sure cigarettes and cigars do too (maybe vapes as well since sim tech is way ahead of ours in some ways) :P

The Sims 1 Console

For over a year now, I have been working on The Sims 1 Console neighborhood, but in a TS1 PC save file! This neighborhood has every sim in it that was featured in the console version! The only sims that are not featured are the premade sims that you can choose as a premade to play as in the Challenge (2 Player) mode. But every sim from both Play the Sims, Get a Life, and even some sims featured solely in the 2 player modes are featured.

For the Play the Sims mode families, I have went ahead and moved in 3 families that were featured in the Sims 1 (Console), which are: The Newbies at Sim Lane 7, the Goths at Sim Lane 5, and The Roomies at Sim Lane 3. The Pleasant and Bachelor families are still in the family bin!

For the Get a Life families, most of them are still in the family bin. Some of the families I did take the liberty of moving into their own house. I placed Mom in her house Money from Mom, Dudley and Mimi are living together at Party Animals, Malcolm Landgrabb is living in The Last Simoleon, and Roxy Hottie is currently living in the Dream Mansion (Randy Hottie is living in the Party Guys household, but that's up to the player if they want to move him in with Roxy Hottie). The rest of the families such as Foofaraw, Thimblewitt, Peacock, Cheeky, etc. are still in the family bin. *I also want to add that Betty Roomies is absent from the Roomies household from the Get a Life family, and instead she is only present in the Newbie household.

For the 2 player mode families, the only ones I moved in was the Handyman's family and the Maid's family in their respective houses. I did also feature some Townie families that have appeared in different levels, such as the sims that appeared at The Park, as well as the "messy neighbors" from the Maid and Handyman scenarios.

I kept this neighborhood 99% CC free. The only CC I would highly recommend that you grab is the Fran Foofaraw head and body which was shared on MadRayne's discord.
