last song: That's a good question. I can't remember... although during a convo with my sister (it happens on the daily) we sang "September", but we butchered it. We had fun but it was awful so be thankful you weren't on that phone call. 🙃

favorite color(s): My favorite color is hot pink, but I wear all the colors. If it's loud, then it's for me! Tangerine orange is also a close 2nd. 🍊🌺

currently watching: so. many. things. The hubs and I unwind by watching whatever is queued up on the DVR, but we just finished hi/jack.

currently reading: I just finished reading a couple of murder mysteries while on vacay, but my sister just recommended Honey to me. If it's got murder then it's got my attention.

current obsession: Um.... do long running obsessions count? I don't have anything new, per se, but we're about to start camping season so we're getting our travel trailer travel ready, but then I did just go on a massive sewing spree and knocked out 6 different projects in a month, there's also the earring making and beading... And the fish. 🐟 Our newly mated pair of angelfish just had their first successful clutch which is nice because we had a lot of success with the male in this duo with another female angelfish but she ☠️.

last google searches: how large is the gas tank on a Ford Fusion because my son was trying to tell me I was wrong, but I wasn't...which I knew... but you know, these kids these days... Google is the gavel when it comes to facts, I guess. He could've just listened to me in the first place, but he's 16 and knows everything. 🙄

currently working on: I should be working on the video we took a year ago for our travel trailer vlog, but I'm not... it's waited a year so what's a few more weeks? I'm also about to finish another pair of beaded earrings, and I'm trying to decide on some projects that I want to sew up. There's also our bathroom that needs repainting and the aforementioned projects on the trailer. It's never ending.

Your 3 Traits: Perfectionist, Dog Lover, Creative

Your Aspiration: Renaissance Sim 

In Game World You'd Live In: Hmmm, this is tough, because I do love to travel but I think my hometown would be Copperdale. I like an old, small-town feel.

Favorite Townie: What's a townie? Kidding... I never play with townies, but I do feel a connection with the Pancakes. In fact, I have some neighbors that remind me of them, a lot.

Most Used Pack: Cats and Dogs, hands down.

Favorite Decor Object: Oh gosh. Um. I do love all the indoor plants. That rubber tree plant probably makes it into 80% of my builds.

Something You Want In the Game: Cars would be amazing, but I don't know that it's what I want the most. I really wish we could place different foundation heights right next to each other.

What Color Is Your Plumbob: It's probably green, maybe with the slightest tinge of yellow creeping in. I have my 2nd cup of coffee here and I'm dreaming of lunch.

@aheathen-conceivably put up her AI generated lovelies and I got curious as well. I did not heed her warnings...

I started off with Frank and um...wow. I don't hate the rendering. His eyes should be more blue, but I could see where the navy jacket and the dusk setting would make his baby blues appear darker. His skin tone is definitely darker, but if Frank was the son of Gordon and Lena - I could imagine his skin tone being this light. I headed over to Gordon next, and while it did screw up his blue eyes and his war injuries - I could def see where Gordon would be this dapper gentleman if WW1 had gone differently for him. I do like that in the pictures you can see the resemblance between son and father.

My favorite older sister was next, and I do love how Eunice is portrayed. There's a quiet stoicism about her that is perfect. I can also see a resemblance between Gordon and Eunice, but I think Eunice takes more after Goldie; whereas Gordon takes after Eugene. Lena is next, because she's my favorite spouse so far and while I don't love that it changed her hair color to red - I can't argue that she might not have dyed her red. She's not a natural blonde, she just prefers herself as a blonde...so anything is possible. I will say that it did get her blue eyes right, so maybe it's learning? I absolutely could not forget to include my favorite OC of all time - Effie! So the AI did some funky stuff with the angling of her eyes, but if you block out the left portion of her face and leave her nose - it's spot on. The wistful, hopeful look in her clear blue eyes, coupled with the pragmatic but stylish wear - I mean, she's my favorite for a reason. I think her eyes are also reflected in Gordon and Frank - I don't know quite what it is, but there's a commonalty there.

Thank you so much for the tag @simadelics! I have greatly enjoyed seeing everyone else's ship statuses for their OCs. After delving into Effie's personality, it was fun to see the current heir and spouse.

Tag Game for Historical Simblrs!

1. What has been your favorite time period to play in or which one are you most excited for?

Oh gosh... This is really going to take some thought. I have really enjoyed the 1890s because of the labor reform and industrial revolution aspects of the time, but there's also the 1920s and 1930s when there was a massive amount of science discovered and environmental damage that will affect future generations.

2. Do you have a favorite piece of historical cc? (CAS or BB)

I really love @linzlu's retro sinks, but I also can't function w/o a lot of @gilded-ghosts's outfits.

3. Who is your favorite sim currently?

 So it's actually little Gordon. His future is heavily inspired by my own interests and emotional events that shaped and altered me. I'm very excited to develop his story.

4. What is your favorite world?

I love all of them for different reasons, but Brindleton, Windenburg, and Granite Falls are probs my favorites.

5. Are you more gameplay or story focused?

I play the game to get to the good parts of the story I want to tell. Sometimes the game throws me for a loop though and I need to alter my story to fit the gameplay, but the story definitely drives a lot of how I play.

6. Do you like to play with pets in your historical saves?

I do, but not cats. I like having dogs, but I a dog person IRL so its just a natural fit. I miss the dog from Gen 0 but it hasn't felt right in the story to have a dog again.

7. What’s your biggest immersion breaking pet peeve with the game?

The weird outfits on the pets in Brindleton. I can't seem to find a mod or anything that will make pets not wear clothing.

8. What’s your favorite in-game historical item? (CAS or BB)

... Probably the boots from Vampires or the lace-up boots that came with GTW.

9. What would you like to see as a new pack or asset to the game?

I would like to see more free swim areas. The areas in Britechester and Sulani are cool, but Brindleton could use some free swim areas along the coast.

10. What pack do you think is invaluable as a historical simmer?

Obvs, Cottage Living, but I have to agree with Get Together or Vampires for their build mode items.

11. Do you have a favorite mod to enhance historical gameplay?

So many, but MCCC, Better UI, Better Exceptions, TOOL, BBB, Timeless, Home Regions, Language Barrier, and I know I'm forgetting some.

12. What’s your ideal family size for playing?

4-5 people. I hate when the dice dole out 5-6 children. I really dislike the new newborn phase and the toddler phase is something to just tolerate.

13. Do you use poses?

All. The. Time.

14. Do you use any overrides in your game?

I had a crib override at one point, but infants broke it.

15. Do you, or did you, play off-the-grid during your game?

I played OTG all through the 1850s to the 1880s. 1880s including plumbing being added. Electricity was added in 1890.

16. What lifespan do you play on?

I play on normal lifespan, but with the days in each stage altered slightly. In my game, 2.8 days equals 1 year; so some years are 3 days long and some are only 2. 28 days = 10 years

17. What inspired you to start playing a historically?

I have always loved history and learning about it. For about half a second during my junior year, I thought about becoming a history teacher until I remembered that I don't actually like interacting with most people. I have, thankfully, learned the skills to deal with people on a daily basis but some (most) days it's exhausting.
