I have decided rather than clean up the disorganization on my old tumblr. I have decided to create a new one from the ground up. I will mainly post The Sims 2, but I do have a few other interests I follow on here as well.  I have decided on new tags for reblogs and other sims related things to keep things organized, so feel free to unfollow @sims2coffeenchat and follow me here at my new name @funnycleversims. I am still working on getting things set up, and hopefully I refollowed if not all or almost of the followers I had on my old account. I am still going to keep my old tumblr up, but I just will not be posting there anymore

Hi Your blog and all your cc is amazing, and I am considering just using your hair cc, and I did look at your resources page, but was wondering if you could advise me a little further on what facial hair and eyebrows that would go well with your hairs ? Do you use much of Trappings cc in your game ? Thank you so much and I am looking forward to using all of your cc in my newly created download folder I have been workin on 4 almost forever now :)

Actually, Skoogy and Simgaroop made matching facial hair and eyebrows, but I like using Pooklet’d eyebrows, because Simgaroop’s blond one is too light, it’s hardly visible on lighter skins, that’s why I like the incendiary color better :) And yes, I use a lot of cc by Trapping :D

Would you by any chance be able to point me in the direction of a tutorial of how to recolor clothing with a psd. I have been searching google, but I have not come up with anything. I love all of your stuff, any advice would be appreciated. Thank u :)

Explanation under the cut! :)

The PSD just helps with recoloring the texture. So, just start a recolor in bodyshop (like the first step in this tutorial) Then open up the PSD in Photoshop.

My PSDs are layered, so you just have to change the colors in the appropriate places (highlight the layer, go to edit…/fill, then pick a color)

Then just save it to the project folder you just started as a bmp, and overwrite the original textures.

That’s it! Sorry for the awful color combination I chose XD I hope it helps :)

Oceanside Hood Tour

I promised @sims2coffeenchat that I would put up top-down views of Oceanside and here they are. ^.^ Here’s the overview of the whole tiny island hood and then top-down views where I added street names for reference. All of the streets are named after the first 14 Founders of Oceanside :)

Oceanside Blvd has the Founders’ condos, the Post Office, the Fire Station, Biltmore Construction Co, Killeen Kinder Care, The Primary and Secondary School buildings, Diego’s Dance Academy, the Bakery, Healey Potter, and Second Life.

Church Street has the Church and a cemetery; Goodacre Farms is where Goodacre’s farm is!

Landgraab Ave has the Lambswool’s Nectary, Primp Salon, the Police Station, the Bank, and Goodacre’s Grocery Store.

Moneywell Blvd has the orphanage and the Landgraab’s mansion.

Biltmore Hwy is where the Crimson Crab, the Troubadour Cafe, and Oceanside Customs are located.

There’s still plenty of room to build. I have no idea what’s going to go up on that hill though!

Your game is super adorable and bright May I ask do you use defaults for eyes and face templates ? If so which ones ? and which hair textures do you use. Everything melds so well together for a super fun feeling in your pictures

I’m so glad you like my game and my pictures! :D

For eyes, I use Sahra’s eyes with Anva’s sclera, and I use the Butterflies and Hurricanes face templates as a default. And I also have some non-default ones from here and here (and desperately waiting for more non-defaults! - I saw some ongoing wishes on GoS)

For hair textures, I use Simgaroops! I have a bunch from Simgaroop, Voleste and Skoogy here and here, and I’m also retexturing hairs myself :D
