really cute experience today
at work a customer bought a magnet from us and they were super excited because it was the first magnet on HER own fridge.
they were just super excited to be an adult and have their own fridge to fill with magnets and as someone with parents who hate having things on the fridge I understood them fully 🙂↕️
whilst im definitely NOT built for customer service due to how much it drains me emotionally and mentally
i cant say i hate it, i love interacting with other people and making their day a little brighter by giving them a nice hello or giving them a discount when i see theyre making a big purchase
i tell people who clearly just want to take pictures with professional cameras to hide them so they dont get an unexpected charge
i apply a teacher or military discount to everyone in the group with the discount holder
i tell them when the price theyve paid is the same as a membership
i try to make the people in my local community happier, because im not a billionaire nor do i have have the right to think im better than anyone, theyre just like me and im just like them and we all deserve a discount every here and then
tl:dr be kind to your fellow humans and help each other out even in the little things, because if you dont spread kindness then who will?
had a guest who had purchased a product online and when I was confirming that it was indeed her package she was super excited that I pronounced her last name correctly
I didnt have the heart to tell her that the only reason I knew how to say Bolin correctly was because I watched the legend of korra
a large delivery came in today at work and while we were scrambling to find someone to unload the cargo our supervisor apologized to the driver but the guy was super chill like
"yeah no worries its a slow day today and I get paid by the hour so really you guys are making me money rather than making me lose it"
and man i aspire to be that relaxed, guy saw the positives of the situation rather than stressing out
