ok so imagine it’s april fool’s and lance is one of those assholes who’ll say they have crush on xx for a prank

THE SAME ASSHOLE decides to tell keith that he likes him for the lulz xD seeing him creeped out

he does that but plot twist: KEITH IS ACTUALLY EMBARRASSED AND IS BLUSHING

lance’s brain: “woah keith is kind of cute when hes embar- wAIT”

“APRIL F-” “I, actually really like you too, Lance... For like, a while now..... Uhh..."

"I just...  I didn't think you'd like me back.  Y'know, with the whole rivals thing..."

lance is then like "oh, uh, sorry i think i have to go now sEE YOU TOMORROW" "...ok?"

lance goes home and skypes hunk and pidge telling them how this backfired, ofc he doesn’t have the heart to reject the guy

hunk tells him how he “warned him this is going to be a bad idea” for 2 hours, pidge is laughing in the background

april 2nd they meet at school again which was.., kind of awkward (especially after you fake confessed to someone who actually likes you)

the gang is like “kEITH U SHOULD TOTALLY HANG WITH US FOR THE WHOLE DAY TODAY!!!!!!!!!!”, lance is like “nO” keith does it anyway

so yeah like they had classes together but didn’t really talk but sat really close

LUNCH and they knew they couldn’t just be awkward forever so yeah they do have a conversation

“So, uhh, what are we?” “What do you mean?” “Are we, y’know, dating?” “........I guess we kinda are”

they actually came out that they were dating and as time goes lance actually starts falling for him for real

10 years later they get married and have 3 kids + a dog with stable jobs and a calm and peaceful life
