Jane gender headcanons?

i love love love genderfluid jane. like any variety of nb jane is good tho but genderfluid jane has stolen my heart

jane who tries to mesh together traditionally ‘feminine’ and ‘masculine’ type styles and doesnt care much about pronouns but cares a lot more about the types of words used to refer to her - pretty vs handsome, mr vs miss, ma’am vs sir, etc etc

jake is so gender confused. this kid has no idea what gender is supposed to be or feel like and he just assumes he’s a guy ??? b/c he wants to be the action hero !! he wants to be the leading role !! he wants to be dashing and daring and brave and all these things associated with dudes !! and then lara croft is all those things and he’s like 

well 

i mean 

i guess i dont ??? have to be a guy ???? to be adventurous and brave and such ?? 

and he doesnt think about it for too long b/c being a guy is sort of comfortable now b/c he’s called himself that for a long time but it keeps nagging at the back of his mind that he doesnt have to be and then he’s like ‘well ok what if im not a guy. what am i ? am i a girl ? i dont feel much like a girl ?’ and he’s thrown for a loop again

dave is ???? i like nonbinary dave. nb dave who realizes that gender binary is stupid and he is beyond it. so far beyond it that he doesnt have a gender at all ??? probably. nb dave who didnt ever really feel like a dude but knew that he should so he tried extra hard to be this extra masculine dudebro and then later realized it was bullshit and he didnt have to try so hard to be a dude and then realized that he didnt even want to try to be a dude b/c he wasnt a dude 

i also like trans dude dave ?? dave who worked really hard to be super masculine and to live up to this idealized image of what a dude should be b/c that is the only way to be a dude and god does he want to prove that he’s a dude but then later he’s like 

what the fuck 

im a dude and i dont ??? have to prove it ??/?

carapace gender ??? who knows what that is like. is generally assumed to be a lady and is usually referred to with she/her pronouns but ??? why does she care. she doesnt give a shit how u refer to her as long as u use the proper amount of respect.
