@sindarweek Day One: Celeborn and Elwing

Sorry, as always, I struggle to follow prompts. Just following vibes again this year. I just finished reading The Unfinished Tales and this stuck out to me from The History of Galadriel and Celeborn section

It is a natural assumption that Celeborn and Galadriel were present at the ruin of Doriath (it is said at one place that Celeborn ' escaped the sack of Doriath') and perhaps aided the escape of Elwing to the Havens of Sirion with the Silmaril

So yeah, here's Celeborn rescuing Elwing from the Second Kinslaying

I thought it would be fun to participate in @sindarweek this year. I've been seeing a lot of interesting takes on them recently and it's made me really want to explore them more, and well, it just makes sense since Elrond is my favorite character.

I'd like to say I'm clever enough to take prompts and make art from it, but, I'm sure not. So, I kind of veered off a bit.

I feel like the Sindar kind of get the short end of the stick with how they're portrayed/ thought about in fandom. But, I think there's a lot of love and warmth there, so I decided to explore the (mostly) Sindar families in Tolkien's work. I also wanted to artistically push myself to do more complicated pieces, I had a lot of fun with this and will absolutely be drawing these characters more in the future!

So, here's Day One: The OG Sindar family to kick things off- Thingol, Melian, and Lúthien!
