I think Seokjin's secretly kinda happy Taehyung got abducted. Not in that he got hurt, but in that Seokjin got to play. And Seokjin rarely gets to play. I think that Seokjin wouldn't get rid of Tae for the simple fact that Tae is the most powerful of all of them, as evidenced by the family that got taken out because they messed with Jimin. He can't fight, but it wouldn't matter if he got abducted every other day. Seokjin will NEVER let him go.

well, let’s not go too far. seokjin does love his inner circle but even seokjin knows when to cut loose ends. don’t think that after this abduction attempt, taehyung doesn’t know better than to just go out alone whenever he wants to and to be careful about it when he does, not only because he’s learned a bit from this experience, but because seokjin might not be so keen on saving him so soon after this time. after all, seokjin has an image. if he goes off saving one of his men every single time he got abducted, what would the rest of bangtan think? what would his underlings think? what would seokjin’s enemies think? seokjin can’t have that and taehyung knows that and he’s not keen on testing those boundaries.

and tae can do some pretty fucked up things, say taking out a family, but he’s not capable of doing that whenever seokjin wants him to or anything, there needs to be enough of a justification for him because that’s how tae keeps his conscience clean. so in that sense, yoongi is their strongest and not tae.

and seokjin plays lol. seokjin’s favorite game is manipulating people. he gets the most joy out of that. of seeing people react to him in shock and horror and knowing that they never saw it coming. he’s the one pulling the strings behind everything in their family, fucking with people’s lives and minds in a lot of ways: politically, financially, etc, etc, and he enjoys that more than any physical torture he can induce. i will agree with you though that seokjin keeps a lot of bloodlust bottled up in him from day to day and that taehyung’s kidnapper did serve as a kind of stress relief for him. so in that vein of thinking…yeah, he was secretly glad that taehyung got kidnapped.
