The club was packed that evening, and Gia found it all to be almost too much for her newly heightened senses. As a young cambion just coming into her powers she doubted that this place was the best environment for her. She was only there because her friends wanted to celebrate her finally moving out of her overly religious parents home. It had taken her months since her eighteenth birthday to find a place she actually liked, and to break the news to her parents that she was moving out. She hadn’t told them why, they didn’t even know what she was and her father who wasn’t even really her father but thought that he was had no idea of the her mother’s affair that resulted in her birth.
There was a dark part of her that wanted to tell them just what her mother’s indiscretion brought into the world, an unreasonable desire to wreak havoc on her parents marriage. Gia knew it’s the demonic part of her, all thanks to her birth father. Some demon whose name she still struggled to pronounce, a demon she hadn’t even met and only knew of because a certain prince of hell had come to her on her eighteenth birthday and revealed the truth to her. Kiah had given her answers she hadn’t even known she needed, and now so much made sense to Gia, but it left her battling darker urges and thoughts on a near daily basis.
Just the thought of Kiah had Gia’s mind straying as she wandered aimlessly through the club. She had no real idea where she was going, only that something was drawing to that particular part of the club. It wasn’t until her eyes landed on a familiar face that she realized what happened. “Would saying that we have to stop meeting like this sound like too much of a line?” She questioned, approaching Kiah and doing her best not to get too close simply for the sake of keeping a clear head around the demon prince.
