Who’s your favourite Sing character and why?
Both Sing and Sing 2 characters
Anon asked for 1. Last song I listened to
So, this is To Be With You by Mr. Big. This is like my biggest guilty pleasure song ever, ok? (also it’s in Rock of Ages, musicals yay)
I was wondering if you have to be a certain size to be in the ensemble in one of the disney shows. I am a heavier girl and wanted to know if that would affect anything. Btw. Love your blog. xoxo
Hi!
I don't think that it would really affect your chances! If you're really into the audition and have a great voice, i'm sure they would love to have you! :)

if you could sing nearly exactly alike the character, do you think there might be circumstances where you are available to sing while portraying a face character?
Hi-
Unfortunately, I don't think Disney would allow that... they really like to be consistent with all the characters, so if Elsa sings with people one day and the next day she doesn't, people may get upset.
Singing with guests would also make the line move much slower because if you sing a song with someone, then the next people will also expect you to sing a song with them and the lines are typically too long to allow one group to visit with a princess for 5 minutes. :(
If you love to sing, it's possible that you could be cast in singing shows and as a meet and greet character! :)

Hi! I saw you mention singing roles earlier, and I was wondering, what kind of singing roles are available at Disney parks and are there any that don't really take appearance into account?
Hi!
There are many shows that are put on at the parks and cruise lines that you could try for!
They typically take looks much less into account for the shows than they do for the look alike roles, so you could theoretically play a principal role! You could also be cast as an ensemble singer or smaller role in the shows. Disney also puts on some stage shows that doesn't necessarily star human characters- like Finding Nemo the musical (which has a listing for auditions right now)
hope that helps! :)

Why aren't face characters allowed to sing?
Disney has that rule because it's very rare to find someone who looks and acts like the character and is able to sing- not to mention finding someone who sings like the character does!
many of the children who visit the characters know their songs very well and if they dont sound like they expect them to, they could get upset and the experience could lose some of the magic

do you know if you need singing ability to be hired at a disney park?
To be a face character, not at all!
There are roles you can audition for that specifically ask for singers, but if you wanted to be a princess or something that interacts with the guests, you are actually not allowed to sing! :)

Okay so.... As of that last 'Sing' ask
I caved and guess it counts as the rest of the asks? xD
I live on the West Coast U.S and usually work after 4pm but no later than 10pm most days.
But before I work would be better for me.
What day and time would be good for all ya'll to hear me sing and stuff on Skype Live?
I'll try to see if I can record and post whatever as well for those that can't make whatever date and time I decide on.
