eugena spots her target immediately when she steps into the news room, sitting by herself, completely absorbed in editing a fresh batch of photos on her computer. the other girl wasn't just a photographer for the school paper, but also one of the gleeks. a lesser annoying one, who just seemed desperate to make new friends, which made her absolutely perfect for eugena's big plan. "oh lore, i need you to do me a huge favor." without waiting for permission, eugena sets a small pink box down on the girl's desk. lifting the lid, she reveals an assortment of cutely decorated cupcakes. "so, i bought these on an impulse between classes... then i remembered we have cheer practice today. and coach steele, well, you know she is." eugena lets out a heavy sigh, nudging the box toward the other girl. "take them, please? or share them with your friends? because if i bring them home with me, i'll just end up eating the entire box myself." ( @sing2you )

the auditorium door swings open, interrupting the other girl's emotional ballad with a loud bang. "god, nasr. there isn't even anyone else in here. don't you ever get tired of hearing yourself screech?" eugena sneers, strolling down the center aisle with her arms folded across her chest, stepping toward the podium. "actually no, don't answer that. we both know you don't even have an ounce of self awareness in your body." a smirk curves her lips, tilting her head as she looks up at the other girl, letting a moment of silence pass between them. "well, i just wanted to come over to congratulate you," she then continues, in an obviously fake tone. "it's actually quite impressive, how you were able to steal a few of the bottom tier cheerios last year, and this year, you somehow managed to convince not only cece, but also my boyfriend and his team mates to join you on your island of misfit toys. honestly? i didn't think you had it in you to be such a manipulative little witch, but then i started thinking about it, and suddenly it all adds up! first you lose micah to the squad, then you and broadway ken suffer a soul-crushing defeat at sectionals, followed by that embarrassing meltdown over my completely fair review of your shitty performance." her dark eyes narrow, gaze throwing daggers at other girl. "so, what you're telling me is that this is personal now, right? you, stella nasr, are challenging me?" she pauses, raising an eyebrow. "out of all the people on this campus, you decided to make an enemy out of me? and somehow... somehow you thought this would end well for you?" ( @sing2you )

"oh, don't tell me you believe that it was actually random. kelmeckis must have rigged it. it's sabotage, stella. you know that he can't stand it that my ideas are simply superior to his. it is his way of punishing me for my talent," julian groans dramatically, sinking into his chair. "this... this is the worst thing that has ever happened to me." at least, as far as his friend knows. yes, the jock invasion of his choir room is wrong and grotesque on so many levels, but compared to his new york misadventures, this was only a minor setback. julian reminds himself that he managed to bounce back from that fiasco too, but still he knows better than the underestimate this current roadblock standing in his way. "kelmeckis doesn't understand the importance of quality over quantity. it is clear that he would let just about anyone in, including people so uncultured, they can't even tell the difference between schwartz and sondheim! i mean, why even have auditions? where are the standards?" he rants, voice rising as his frustration with the situation grows. "no, they are an active threat to our artistic expression, stella. we cannot allow this to continue!" ( @sing2you )

"sorry i'm late." bear's hair is still damp as he joins lore at the table, making a loud thud as he drops down a stack of books in front of her. "i'm pretty sure the person in front of me was enjoying their shower a little too much. ...i just threw out my flip-flops after, there's no cleaning those." shuddering at the thought of what those poor sandals had gone through, he sits down across from her, opening up the textbook on the top of the pile in search of the right page. "were you waiting long?"
