“I think the entire world is watching this moment. Many people in the world will think of this as a scene from a fantasy...science fiction movie.” Kim Jong-Un
“Those who say it can not be done, should not interrupt those doing it.” -Chinese Proverb
With the age-long conflict in North Korea maybe coming to an end...it is amazing to watch history unfold in the region of Singapore as President Trump and Chairmen Kim Jong-un have their private talk behind closed doors.
After the Luncheon, President Trump and Chairmen Jong-un have come to a resolution to sign.... ‘something’. This is amazing progress as we could be seeing the last days of the Korean Peninsula strife and a healing of a nation.
Personally...I would like this to be resolved as the threats of Nuclear War from a nation willing to use those means is disturbing to the Global peace. I guess we will soon find out what that signing might be!
Some interesting notes to add would have been the attitude change of Chairman Kim Jong-un as seen in the photos above. Like the world, there was much uncertainty going into this summit and after 45 minutes, Chairman Kim Jong-un seemed much more comfortable with his being at the summit. Personally, I did not think they would have got this far as Chairman Kim Jong-un’s regimes survival depends on his weaponry and President Trump is a determined man. In this 45 minute meeting, they went immediately into a Working Meeting with the advisers from both The United States and North Korea to talk further about the future of peace in the Korean Peninsula and (not known) maybe the end of the Korean War.
About 1pm (GTM+8), President Trump came out to reporters as he stated “Better than anybody could have expected” “It’s going great, we had a really fantastic meeting, lot of progress, really very positive. I think better than anybody could have expected, top of the line, really good.” “We are going right now for a signing.” as they head out as President Trump shows off his car to the Chairman as the ‘bonded’.
Some Interesting Points You May Not Know: Kim Jong-un arrives 7 minutes earlier then President Trump as in Korean tradition, this is a sign of respect that the Young One Should Always Arrive Earlier Than The Elder One. As for President Trump, he chose to wear a red tie as this was a color the Koreans liked best.
Trump and Kim arrived in the signing room around 2pm (GMT+8), walking in together and taking seats at the table when two pens were presented to the signers with a closed document. As President Trump takes his pen he comments “So we are signing a very important document, a pretty comprehensive document... a lot of goodwill went into this, a lot of work, a lot of preparation. We’re very proud of what took place today. It’s going to be a very much different situation to what it has been in the past,” said Trump “we are going to take care of a very big and very dangerous problem for the world. “I want to say thank you to Chairman Kim, we spent a lot of time together today, a very intensive time.”
Chairman Kim Jong-un adds as he clears his young throat, “Today we have had a historic meeting, we decided to leave the past behind. The world will see a major change. I would like to express my gratitude to President Trump for making this meeting happen.” after they signed, they shook hands with their documents signed.
President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong-un never said what was in the document and it seems unclear what it might be, even as the reporters rudely pressed their advantage. One of the press asked the President, “Are you going to invite Kim to the White House?” and without a moments hesitation Trump nods with a ‘absolutely!’
With the signing over, President Trump and Chairman Kim left Sentosa after the conclusion of the summit. The motorcades of the two leaders have left the resort island. President Trump said he will give a press conference later this afternoon, before departing Singapore at 7pm (GMT+8) for the United States. He is expected to speak to the press alone after a private meeting with Sean Hannity. There is thoughts that the agreement they signed was a ‘unique’ security guarantees in return for denuclearisation of North Korea...hopefully President Trump will inform us in about 2 hours.
With the sucessful Summit in the books, countries that ‘Warned’ about the Summit come out to praise the United States and Korea for their determination to change the world’s history. China was the first to note:
The fact that the two leaders “can sit together and have equal talks has important and positive meaning, and is creating a new history,” Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told reporters. “The crux of the peninsula nuclear issue is a security issue. The most important, difficult part of this security issue is for the United States and North Korea to sit down to find a way to resolution via equal talks,” Wang said. “Resolving the nuclear issue, on the one hand of course is denuclearisation, full denuclearisation. At the same time, there needs to be a peace mechanism for the peninsula, to resolve North Korea’s reasonable security concerns.”
"President Trump committed to provide security guarantees to the DPRK, and Chairman Kim Jong Un reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula."
Four points of the Trump-Kim Declaration: 1. The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new U.S.-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.
2. “The United States and the DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.”
3. Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work towards the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
4. The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.

With the developments in Singapore, let’s not forget who the true heroes are that let this happen. It’s not Trump, and it’s not Kim Jung Un. It’s the working class of South Korea. This historic meeting would have never happened with South Korea’s former president, the right-wing cultist Park Geun-hye, still in power.
But after Park passed a series of union-busting laws, truck drivers, teachers, and tens of thousands of other workers went out on strike demanding her resignation.
In 2016, she was impeached after nationwide mass protests by Korean workers. A few months later, Moon Jae-In was elected president of South Korea on a platform of restarting talks with the north, earning the support from the majority of Korean workers who wanted both peace and dignity on the job.
If Moon hadn’t restarted talks with the DPRK, today’s summit was unimaginable. But Moon taking the South Korean presidency after a lunatic right-winger like Park was unimaginable without the militant unionism of the Korean working class in the south.

Cautious Optimism Over Historic Summit – Here are Some Things You Should Know
The historic summit in Singapore between President Trump and Kim Jong-un is over. There are a few things that came out of it, minus concrete details, that may bring hope for the future of the Korean Peninsula. It’s cautious optimism, but optimism nonetheless. Of course the MSM is all about skepticism, and are doing their level best to discredit the situation.
