Senegalese singer, Akon has committed to light up Kibera slum as part of a major government led transformation of the slum to a modern neighbourhood.
Akon made the promise during a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House Nairobi on Thursday. Akon trip to Kenya is a follow up of another meeting in Washington DC during the US-Africa Summit in August.
