Your soft palate is really important though. Make sure it's as far back towards your throat as possible to get the best notes. Watch out for foods that cause mucus because those will mess you up more than it will other parts

Practice breathing. Breathe as deeply as you can before any high note especially. Pay close attention to your soft palate. Basically like I said before though the most important part of being a soprano by far is learning to breathe effectively.
