Another Floodsinger! (Water Affinity, Water Hand)
Double-Water witches are fish at heart. They delight in a swim, take forever in the shower, and can be prone to heavy drinking. They are also the most sensitive of the bunch and can have a hard time controlling the influx of outside emotion under pressure. Where they live, rain will fall more frequently, water levels will be higher, and the ground will be softer underfoot. When communing in their natural element, they can cause rivers to overrun their banks, wells and sewers to overflow, and storm surges to become devastating floods. If directly in a large body of water, they can also cause huge maelstroms and riptides to form.
A corrupted Veilwalker is called a Darkling. These witches, usually driven by anger or frustration, succumb to the whispers of the darkness and bond with the shadows. Their Gift strengthens to unnatural levels, giving them the ability to create living creatures of shadow, with full substance and some small will of their own instead of the usual directly-controlled puppets. There is a certain amount of madness associated with Darklings. They spend every waking moment listening to the whispers of the dark and over time can lose the ability to discern what is real and what is illusion. This is when they are at their most dangerous, for these illusions can manifest themselves if the Darkling perceives himself or herself threatened, or is just in a particularly foul mood.
