i’m on mobile rn but thank you so much , friend ! @single-pigeon ❤❤❤
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HONEY!!! I hope you have a totally brilliant and amazing day 💖💖💖
15, 17, 33!!
15. do you mind when characters cry?
If it is in-character/within reason, i love it. some fic authors have characters tearing up at the slightest provocation and i despise that.
17. Any characters you can’t stand to see in pain?
No, I am an angstaholic tbh. characters being in pain is my lifeblood
33. Least favourite AU tropes?
it’s not really a trope that bothers me but the characterization. you’re putting characters in a different situation; you’re not writing completely new people.
Revolver and Abbey Road 💖
revolver is S T E L L A R but i have to kind of be in a certain mood for it. like if i wanna listen to revolver i have to be like Ice Queening it up. bitchy. tense. melancholy but in a detached way. idk why. its a fucking flawless album though
Favourite songs
1. Eleanor Rigby
2. And Your Bird Can Sing
3. Tomorrow Never Knows
Abbey Road blows my mind because it was made after Let It Be, and it is still one of the best albums of all time. That transition from I Want You to Here Comes The Sun is Something to Behold. And fuck John, I love the medley.
1. I Want You (She’s So Heavy)
2. Oh! Darling
3. Here Comes The Sun
1, and all evens for the Beatles ask thing ✨
Hot damn, my pal, you don’t mess around!!! Thank you!! :D
1 - Favorite Beatle: johnandpaul, I literally do not want one without the other
2 - Favorite Beatles Song: “In My Life”
4 - Favorite Beatles Quote: “No, actually, we're just good friends.” (I love that it’s from the movie, but they actually referenced it in real life afterward!)
6 - A Beatles song that always cheers you up: “Hey Jude”
8 - Favorite Beatles Album: Rubber Soul
10 - Favorite Beatles outfit: LEATHER
12 - A Beatles song you know all the words to: . . . Almost all? Not “Long Long Long” or “Revolution #9.” But most of the others
14 - 5 Things you would change about the Beatles: (1) Keep Brian alive, (2) keep John off heroin, (3) have them all take an official break and do solo albums rather than breaking up the band, (4) make Paul stop looking at cameras, (5) make them put “All Things Must Pass” on Abbey Road
16 - Favorite art drawing from or of The Beatles: Anything by Klaus Voormann, because he was there, you know?? I like this one a lot: John falling asleep at breakfast in Hamburg.
18 - Least favorite Beatles wife: I mean. Obviously.
20 - Least favorite Beatles album: Does not compute? I guess With the Beatles just because it has fewer songs that I ADORE and more just ones that I’m good with
22 - Favorite Beatles instrument: HOFNER BASS. ICONIC.
24 - Favorite Staff members of The Beatles: Neil Aspinall has to take that award on SHEER LOYALTY. He devoted his whole fucking life to them. And never wrote a book (can you imagine?? Holy shit, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A READ) or sold them out.
26 - Favorite Beatles moment: Shea Stadium, 1964. Peak Beatles.
28 - Favorite Beatles hairstyle: Hamburg era. All that Vaseline!
30 - Favorite picture of your favorite Beatle:
(JUST A WEE BIT OF SEXUAL TENSION)
single-pigeon replied to your quote “Paul takes me upstairs to his little wooden-clad studio on the top...”
Yooooo, when did this encounter take place?
1968, so, ages after the song. Paul presumably just thought he was being funny. :)
(Also, according to the fount of all wisdom, Wikipedia, “Paul McCartney explained that the term ‘Norwegian Wood’ was a sarcastic reference to the cheap pine wall panelling then in vogue,” so, yeah, I guess maybe sometimes wood panelling is just wood panelling).
(BUT I’M JUST SAYING, LOL)
