This year I had the honor of presenting on Sunday morning at 8 am (the first talk of the second day) at the SFW, which allowed me to actually use the free time to go on a hike with several other grad students. We went to see the Ouzel Falls and Calypso Cascades in the Rocky Mountain National Park.
<3 Colorado.
Finally getting around to posting a backlog of Colorado photos. I’ve been intensely sciencing for the past few weeks, and did not have a chance to promptly post photos here. The first in a series of epic Colorado trip photos are young moose who were hanging out in a pond at the Peaceful Valley Ranch, the location of the annual Singlet Fission Workshop. The workshop was great as usual: small group of important people, lots of time for discussions, and a lot of new and interesting results. The location of the workshop is quite lovely, especially with moose roaming the grounds.
Hope to return next year, with either NREL or CU (or both) on my name badge. =)
My first acene devices. Should have made the donor layers thicker, but THEY WORK! 0.2% efficient lol. #organic #solar #cells #singletfission (at University of Southern California)
