Directors: Leste Chen and Hsu Chaoyen
Writers: Shen Yang, Yi Shuaijie and Luo Xiaorui
Mini-review:
I'm always up for a revenge thriller, especially for one with such an exciting cast and this sort of supernatural twist. The revenge plot itself is mostly satisfying, with many threads involved, and the show also has a really biting sense of humor. Tbh, the narrative is a bit messy. The constant jumps between years and countries can get seriously confusing at times, so you need to pay close attention, considering the number of characters and important events. Sometimes it takes a bit too long to reveal certain details, and it can feel like there are plot holes, but they're eventually explained. (Except for the ending, where they lost me a bit). Still, the drama boasts seriously impressive production values and tremendous performances by its superb cast. I wouldn't say The Resurrected is flawless, but I definitely enjoyed it.
P.S. This is one of those stories with a lot of triggering content, so check warnings before watching.
