Sinking Deep

Since grading I have been working on getting my bow stance deeper as suggested by the grading board. I found that by having my foot about a foot farther back than where I usually have it made it more natural to engage the hip for most of my kicks. While I’m working to make this a permanent change I have to do so slowly, otherwise I’ll just return to what is natural. Speed could have also been a factor for way my stance has been more shallow. To focused on getting enough out for a 10 at the cost of those being less than a 10 in quality.

Sinking deep

'Sinking deep' is about when we let our feelings and emotions take over us and we forget about the rest. It's a wake up call, telling us that is ok to be aware of our feelings and emotions but not letting them go to deep inside us, otherwise we sink.
