[Nio froze. What'd he do? what did he just do?!
He tucks against the branch as the clownfish falls to the forest floor with a thud. It's quiet for a moment before she moves, looking around in a panic]

[This kid was obviously rather skittish, and just a conversation wasn't going to change that... But it was still helping to make him feel less apprehensive, to feel better in this moment at least.]
[He closed his eyes, leaning into the pats. This was so weird... Any adult would be probably losing their minds right now, but kids are usually more open to the fantastical.]
