just about anyone else would get a much harsher reaction, if they tried to 'kitty kitty' him. husk doesn't like being a cat. his body feels like he's been branded as a jinx, & since selling his soul to alastor, he's been made to feel like the once proud overlord is now little more than a domesticated pet. but — it doesn't sound quite so bad, in angel's playful, accented croon. so the spider gets a grin, as husk leans in on his elbow, cheek propped up in his hand.

❝ somethin' i can help you with? ❞ angel is also one of the few sinners husk actually likes playing bartender with, rather than it being an obligation that he's halfway decent at. all angel has to do is say the word, if he wants a drink — husk has his order memorized.

Any thoughts on when Lucifer taunted Adam about "that's not what your first wife said, or your second" - something to that degree?

Oh, I have thoughts, alright; I have my cup of coffee in hand & my sleeves are rolled up,

I’ve always found that scene interesting, from the moment I watched it [ before I was way into this Lute / Eve theory ] — specifically the contrast in Lucifer’s gestures. When he makes the “eating out” motion referring to Lilith, Adam doesn’t react; he doesn’t even flinch honestly [ also… Lucifer, c’mon man that’s your wife? ] But when Lucifer shifts to the air-humping, Adam reacts immediately, & that says a lot. Personally, I think it supports the idea that he still loves, or maybe even misses, Eve. Even his little moment in the first episode, eating ribs; it plays like a gag, & could be a nod to her, a reminder that, no matter how much time has passed or how far he’s fallen, Eve remains his number one; the one he can’t quite let go of, for whatever reason,

Do I personally believe Lucifer & Eve had an affair? Not necessarily! The show doesn’t seem to be framing Lucifer in that direction; however, I also don’t think we should rule it out entirely. He is the Devil, after all, & I’m not fully convinced he’s just the melancholic, misunderstood father figure the show wants us to see. You don’t create / rule over a realm like Hell without a level of corruption, pride, & possessiveness woven into your nature, or at least one you developed over time. Charlie calls it the “dark pit,” & says Lucifer made it; that alone tells us he’s capable of constructing something born from pain, defiance, or even obsession. If he could build a kingdom out of rebellion, it’s not far-fetched to think he could’ve reached for what wasn’t his; not simply out of love, or the desire to help, but out of principle, temptation, or curiosity,

There are texts, of course, that link Eve & the serpent more directly [ rabbinic or mystical interpretations ] where the serpent is portrayed as a stand-in for temptation, desire, even physical corruption. Some traditions imply union, others only persuasion, but in either case, it blurs the boundary between spiritual deception & carnal suggestion. Lucifer’s gesture plays into that: the idea that temptation & intimacy were intertwined in Eden, & that Adam’s fury isn’t born from [ simply ] jealousy, but from recognition that Lucifer [ not him ] was the one who reached her [ Eve ] first, in mind if not in flesh. Again, do I think that Viv will head that direction? Probably not! But it’s fun to think about!

I also find it a bit suspicious [ & again, I think it often gets overlooked ] that Lucifer uses the “eating out” gesture when referencing Lilith, but straight up does the air-fucking gesture with Eve; it almost feels deliberate? In most versions of Lilith’s lore, she’s infertile, unable to bear children; her associations with sex are bound to pleasure, defiance, & domination rather than creation. Eve, on the other hand, is the mother [ of humanity ]; her body represents fertility, continuation, the mortal lineage that follows. Could this be hinting that maybe, just maybe, Lilith isn’t actually Charlie’s biological mother? Why “screw” Eve, yet only “eat out” Lilith? The simplest explanation, of course, is that Lucifer did it to get under Adam’s skin; it’s a deliberate jab at an old wound. But I can’t help feeling there’s more to it than that. The choice of gesture feels intentional. Hmm,

But anyway! I will say if Lute is the Edenic Eve, then I’m going to have a field day regardless if they had an affair or not because Lute / Lucifer is one of my favorite rare-pairs 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️
