Brick By Boring Brick

  They say if it’s not okay it’s not the end because in the end everything will be okay. Reality Check: They're wrong. Try telling an inmate on death row that everything's going to be okay and you'll probably be his next victim. We play God and condemn people for their ‘sins’ but really we're no different. We're all ‘sinners’. Granted we may not be axe murderers but we're all liars and cheaters (denying it will only prove my point). But you don't see people condemning us. 

  Truth is the world is a scary place full of awful people. Hypocrites who make declarations of peace one minute and wage war the next. People who'd go to any extent to get what they want regardless of its price. People who lie and cheat. People who rape. People who torture and kill. What’s funny is that they aren't even the worst people out there. The worst people out there are literally out there, wearing their suits and ties, walking around without a care in the world. They make appearances, pass their judgmental remarks about sinners and saints, talk about making a difference and then go back to being oblivious without making a difference.

  Not like sitting here and writing about it is actually making a difference but for the sake of pacifying myself, I'd like to think that on some level I am and at least I'm not a serial killer or a phony do-gooder who thinks she's a saint. Again, not saying I'm better than the next person, just trying to pacify myself. It’s what we all do. It’s what we have to do. And when we stop believing ourselves we seek redemption, hoping we won't be sentenced to eternal damnation.

  But the way I see it, where we're headed there is no redemption. Just us humans waving our guns and paving our way to the inexorable end, Brick by boring brick.

Angel or Devil!?

Good people going to heaven. Bad people going to hell.

Well,  that’s what people say, but I don’t think so! There must be more than these black and white bullshit. There must be shades of grey because people aren’t just good or bad. Everyone has a good and a bad side.

The good cannot exist without the bad, and the bad cannot exist without the good! But,  it’s our choice from which side our guardians come from.
