Wow… how do I even start this post? I went to see Nicola tonight, and oh my god, it was absolutely amazing. First of all, she is even more stunning in person. She has this angelic presence and her hair is just gorgeous. The costumes were so detailed, you could really tell that a lot of love and effort went into them. Nicola was phenomenal as Pegeen. She plays the role with such fierceness and perfection. And that ending scene? WOW. She is so incredibly talented. Siobhan was also brilliant, I was laughing so hard the entire time. The micro-expressions throughout the whole play were spot on and the acting was just top tier. The rest of the cast deserves a shoutout too, they were all stunning and made the play so entertaining to watch. Honestly, the funniest moment had to be Pegeen’s dad getting drunk and rambling on stage. The whole crowd had a great laugh.
I’m just so happy I got to make my dream come true and see Nicola perform live in this amazing production. My heart is so full♥️
Nic’s play, The Playboy of the Western World, is eligible for this year’s Olivier Awards. Nominations will be announced on Thursday.
