I watched the full episode and WHY is it so good??? 😭

Nicola (aka the Queen of pickles) is just out here chatting about food, her cooking habits, random kitchen appliances, telling chaotic childhood stories (immortal nuns?😭), and just being her lovely, funny self.

I LOVE this format - she’s actually so good at podcasts!

She also talks a bit about fame and how it’s been for her and how it’s different for women, which I feel was really important for her to say.

Also, I have slightly different food taste than Nicola, but I am 100% backing her marzipan opinion 😌

Absolutely loved Nicola’s SNL hosting debut, she was an absolute force from start to finish. I was laughing nonstop through every single skit, but my favorite had to be Paula. The physical comedy, the timing, the sheer chaos of it... chef’s kiss. I genuinely hope we get to see more of that character, there’s so much potential there. Nicola absolutely crushed it, as she does with everything she touches. Whether it’s drama or comedy, she never misses. More Nicola on my screen, please and soon.

As I was scrolling through my London trip photos and videos earlier, I came across the curtain call video and it just stopped me in my tracks. I still can’t believe I was actually there, in the same room, watching Nicola perform. It feels surreal, like a beautiful dream I somehow got to live.

That whole trip, that moment, it meant more to me than I think I even realized at the time. There’s something about seeing an artist who’s touched your soul, standing just feet away, pouring their heart out on stage. It stays with you. It changes you. The Playboy of the Western World era will always hold a piece of my heart, not just because of the amazing acting, but because of what it meant to me in that season of my life. It was hope, it was healing, it was proof that some things are worth traveling for.

To this day, watching this video makes my chest tighten. I’m so grateful I got to be there🥹
