Headcanon - Tor greetings of respect
The classic chuff - A recognition of another being currently worthy of acknowledge in one’s immediate vicinity. This can be very casual to quite distinguished depending on the particular Tor and their temperament and how they interact with others in general.
The chuff is not something distinctly Tor in nature, it tends to be used by a variety of Galra but is not entirely universal.
The Siol - aka the hand sandwich - Much like a hand shake, the Tor will put on hand above and the other below the hand of a being they are greeting and respect. Handshakes still exist, but this is something of a quieter, ‘I see you, I recognize you.’ gesture more than just a greeting. It is not gendered, but often females will do it more often then men, and even more common stll, diplomats will do it more than warriors.
The Siol to chin - A gesture of elevated respect. It is the former but the hand holder brings the held hand up and presses the underside of their chin to the top of their hand. It is not necessary, but often while lifting their chin to make eye contact. A further step to ‘I see you, I recognize you, you have my attention.’ Typically it indicates that one believes the other is of their station. That they are equals. Not always, it can be used to impress or give that representation. There is nothing sacred about the gesture that wards off simple lying. But, that is what it is meant to represent.
The Siola - siol to forehead - A little different. There can be sandwiching or not. Typically it is preformed still with both hands, taking the receiver’s hand, and bringing it to the enacter’s forehead, often in a gesturing of bowing their head. This gesture as you can probably imagine is not something a Do’Un does to many, but rather often has done to them, so long as the initiator has permission to touch them to begin with. It is done to people of high regard as an act of respect. ‘I see you, I recognize you, you have sway over me.’
Sometimes it is used as a sign of commitment and fidelity to those who commit to each other romantically, spiritually, or share a deep bond even of friendship but wish to seriously vow themselves to it. Unlike the Siol to chin, there is a stigma to doing this action frivolously, it is taboo and often results in a severe lack of trust from the receiver should they be given it meaninglessly often.

ABOUT 4HILLS “Even though this was my worst 4hills, I went home happier than last year, which is kind of ironic.”
ABOUT HIMSELF "I showed a few satisfiable jumps, I hope they stay in my head and body."
ABOUT STOCH "Kamil was "out of serial" (extraordinary). Repetition of Hannawald's achievement was in the air for a long time. To me it "slipped", but I was happy Kamil was so sovereign. That he jumped through from first to last day. Nothing derailed him."
ABOUT NEW GERMAN HELMETS "I don't know what's the purpose of this helmet. To confuse the opponents or something better?"
ABOUT AMMANN'S NEW SHOES "It's known, that Ammann surprises with something new before the Olympics. These shoes were confirmed by the congress two years ago. I'm not startled a lot."
ABOUT WEIGHT "I think this year it went into extremes. Some ski jumpers have 10 to 15 cm shorter skis, which means 4 kg less. And they weren't fat before."
