Cairis blinked, startled.
âMe?â she squeaked. Â "But, Iâm aâ!â
She very nearly went off whining about how she was a Reject, but⌠well, that was beyond obvious to any Galra.
Plus, here was an opportunity to learn about the training process; a personal experience would boost the information and impact of the article (and give Valoren more to work with).
"You know⌠that actually sounds like a learning experience that I really shouldnât miss out on,â Cairis said with a grin.  "Iâll take you up on that gracious offer.  Thank you!â
She tapped a few shorthand codes into her tablet and then had to laugh.
"Iâm sorry if this seems very stilted and mundane to you, Do'Un Kaydel,â she said.  "Tiirna is known to most long-established Galran territories.  My job is to write up Tiirna and itsâ leadership and what it offers to show newly acquired members of the Empire how amazing the Empire is.  While I can easily read up on the official information file, to write up Tiirna I need the âpersonal touchâ.  New members will want to know about families, economies, military⌠the personal things that matter to them.  So Tiirna, with its attractions and the amazing warrior output, is going to be of major interest.â
âAs for me: this is new and interesting, so Iâm enjoying learning about your culture.â
âGood good.â She reached out a hand to the data pad near her, and pulled up a small keypad, typing something is quickly. âIâm certain there will be a youth class that you can join later in the day that will not be too exhausting. My assistant will see you through ll of that after this.âÂ
She took her hand away from the tech again, hesitating a moment as she fought back the urge to check in on many affairs that were going on without her insight. Her gaze turned back to Cairis, and she returned to the interview at hand, crossing her arms over one another gently.Â
âYes, it is true I wish for my little section of the Universe to be regarded well. I am not certain what more I can necessarily give. Tiirna boasts a wide array of climates, some too harsh for standard comfortable living, but those provide wondrous places for training. Harsh climates push the will of those that wish to survive. It is why many of my people grew to be strong. We have cultivated the lusher landscapes heavily. But still there are some who choose to live in the harsh sands of the desert and cold ice of the mountains. My brother and sister alike, for example. One, a Dinn of the Snowfoot Clan lives in the cold hard mountains and rarely comes down for matters that are not necessary. The other lives in a remote rocky cropping where the harsh hot winds blow from off the sands. Where she believes isolation allows for connection to truths of our plane.â
She lifted a hand and waved it someone, her even tone giving way to notes of light exasperation. âWe, however, are not all soothsayers and hermits however. Spirituality is very important to us, but our economy thrives and technology flourishes here all the same, the shores of the Ootmia Sea are lines with metropolises and see those from all around the Galaxy. Many come to relax and partake in this planetâs offerings just as much as we train the next generation of our protectors and Soldiers. Lineage here is important and families that grow and thrive here shape the thriving of out economy. There is a great emphasis on what individuals will offer from their skills sets to push forward the success of the whole.âÂ
She lifted her brow, looking to Cairis to lead the conversation once again. âIs there any more questions you can think of to answer? Anythings you are curious about?âÂ
