It makes me sick to my stomach to know that the tribe my mother's father came from is so stricken by poverty. People came and took their land, and they moved, went to their schools, and this is what they get? Shacks for homes, no education, barely any food, poor health.. This is a modern world, and we ALL still act like the selfish people who came here and took their land. Things need to change. Sioux pride will always strive, no matter what, as will the pride of any tribe, but once you try and strip them of that, you've crossed the line, and ruined the morale of a tribe.
