I have waited 3 years to be back in Grand Forks and the wave of nostalgia that hit me when we pulled into town today hit me harder than anything. So much so that Callie asked me, “are you going to cry? Please don’t cry.” This town gave me so much more than I expected when I left California. I lived on my own for the first time here. I fell in love here. I got my education here.
