When a wine sings the truest notes, it sings of its terroir. Such is the case with this 2013 Solomon Hills Pinot Noir. Tangled in red berries, this unfiltered wine aged 16 months in 40% French Oak has verve. Vibrant acidity and tannins straining for release, it is in my top ten of Pinot Noirs in 2017.
