I KNEW there was some non-comic interpretation, but I couldn't think of it.... The internet is a strange and less friendly place now. I'm vaguely hoping freeware programmers have like. Whipped some stuff up? To keep games and videos accessible? Can you tell I don't know what I'm talking about when you shift from the cultural to the programming side. All I know is that reading about the Homestuck browser implies to me that this is possible, so I'm optimistic. It's too sad to contemplate otherwise. It's a small travesty anyway.

Thank you, luckily everyone close to me is fine so far. :) I work at the home-office, celebrated my birthday all by myself at home as well, using the extra time saved by the canceled social events, pubs, Febiofest, commuting etc. on a proper Spring cleaning. :D How are you doing? How many awesome face masks have you made so far? ;)

These are my creations (For those from luckier countries: there are no respirators or face masks available in Czech rep. right now.  Everyone is encouraged to sew some at home. Well, there is no other option, since wearing something over your nose and mouth is mandarory when going outside since yesterday. 😷 The results are awesome and very amusing):

19. Natasha rarely thinks in Russian anymore

An Avengers ficlet where Allspeak is a thing, so Natasha Romanov hears Thor talking in whatever language she’s thinking in at the time. But she doesn’t know this. From her perspective, Thor speaks kind of weird American English, then one morning she comes downstairs after a vivid dream about the motherland to show up for Chocolate Chip Pancake Wednesdays and Thor is suddenly speaking kind of weird Russian. Clint is answering him normally and not even making ‘ugh I’m out of my element’ faces, even though Natasha knows personally and intimately that his Russian is shit.

So that’s disorienting.

41. name picking - fragment

This is a scene from my Bartimaeus/Girl Genius fusion. There are scenes to complete before it and after what’s up on AO3, but it’s complete in itself.

…I thought I’d successfully omitted everything I’ve posted somewhere, but apparently I already put this on Tumblr and forgot about it.The formatting was also broken in a couple places until just now, so it must have been like four a.m. when I decided to do this.

A few years ago people were talking about those soulmate AUs where you only see color after you lock eyes with your soulmate, and how one would work with the Girl Genius OT3 and how it lines up really nicely with the color trick from Volume 1. I think iztarshi specifically floated Klaus confirming that Gil only got half the color spectrum from Tarvek and deciding that means it’s okay to toss him off the airship anyway.

This is fun as hell, so I got down some ideas for a Castle Wulfenbach AU where the color coming into Agatha’s life is literal, the migraine coming into her life is worse, and Agatha and Gil’s early dynamic is colored (ha) by their ability to conclude that an external, objective force has decreed that they’re meant for each other, and by extension are presumably trustworthy, have each other’s best interests in mind, and are well-suited personality-wise. This tips things so that when Agatha flees CW she takes Gil with her and they head for Sturmhalten, because that’s where Gil’s other soulmate is, who is statistically likely to be Agatha’s other soulmate, and why are you making that face, Gil?

28. B

B is for Bartimaeus! This is a Bartimaeus Trilogy/Doctor Who crossover. A short one already exists, and when I saw it I was like “more of this sort of thing” and also “ooh what if it was even more of a gratuitous fix-it”. Kitty Jones gets picked up by Eleven and Amy a year after Bartimaeus canon, and they abuse the TARDIS to snatch Nathaniel and Ptolemy from the jaws of death and give Bartimaeus like two decades of free time in the Other Place without missing him. And then, well, the universe is their oyster! Nathaniel and Ptolemy get along weirdly well. Bartimaeus and the Doctor, as two crotchety “no I’m fun-loving and whimsical I swear” immortals running on incompatible Magic A Is Magic A systems, do not.
