instinctual;
The place looks interesting enough from the outside, if a little intimidating, and she doesn't have any other plans for the night so the decision to check it out isn't a hard one to make.
The inside is a little stuffier than she expected, and the music is overwhelmingly loud but it's nice enough and she slides further inside to hear better. She has no idea what it is, but the place gives off some sort of vibe that makes her curl in on herself a bit; some unknown instinct to make herself as small and unnoticed a target as possible, to keep to herself and not draw too much attention. To run if she's noticed.
Rei's not entirely sure why she feels that way, but she keeps it in mind even as she slips into a little niche and just listens to the music. No one bothers her just yet, and the brunette makes a point of not speaking to anyone--not that she could, of course, even if she'd tried.
The song ends and the next one starts up; she leans towards the stage without really understanding the draw she's feeling, the pull the music's inducing is a little heady and she feels her feet move just a bit to bring her closer without actually leaving her spot.
Not quite sure why, she lifts her head to get a better look at the singer and blinks in surprise when she realizes that he's seen her. Immediately her arms come up and over her chest defensively, the urge to curl in on herself, the urge to leave ringing loudly in the back of her mind and warring with the just as insistent urge to get closer to him and his voice.
